  3. This is for an existing installation. 48 camera system. I want to replace a camera with a CNB VCM model. The existing camera system uses baluns but I believe those would not fit in a VCM casing. I am thinking of replacing the balun from a different manufacturer. I dont want to replace the baluns from the headend. Will this work? or does baluns work in pairs only?

  8. TTL doesn't have dry contact. with a TTL, you still need to use a relay if you want to switch high current load. TTL is a voltage output with usually very small amount of current while relay is just like a switch
  9. With a ttl output you still need to use a low current relay to utilize the output. With a dry contact you can connect devices directly to it as long as the load current is not more than the contact current. With a ttl output you need to use a relay like this http://www.altronix.com/index.php?pid=2&model_num=RBSNTTL
  10. thanks Matt, I've used that baluns from GEM and it fits nicely inside a VCM casing

  15. I have used this same card for two identical pc's with no problem. Just make sure to install the correct driver for it. And use the latest version 6.62. Try to use a different pci slot. Have you tried swapping the camera with a good camera on the same dvr and check if the issue follows the camera in question?
  16. Are these two cameras identical except for the pigtail cable?
  17. Looks like your router does not support UPNP port forwarding so you will need to do it manually. Just forward the primary http port, RTSP port, rtp port and rtcp port.

    CNB VCM-24VF vs. EverFocus ED610/MVB

I have installed lots of everfocus cameras at work and I dont like the quality. After 2 or 3 years you will have to replace it because it is broken. Its always the power supply board that is having problem.

    GV1480 upgrade

My client wants to add some more cameras to his 16-camera GV1480 Geovision system. I have read that geovision software can handle up to 32 channels. Do I just add 1 more GV1480 card to a spare PCI slot and configure the software? The existing DVR has audio card installed but its not being used, Can i just remove the audio card to free up some space? Thanks

    Where are you from?
  22. Seems like a corrupted memory to me but it could also be interference from external. Purging the panel is done by shorting jumper J1 momentarily while panel is powered. Keyscan system VII will automatically re upload all settings or you can just upload manually. If it doesn't fix it you need to check your wires and look for any unnecessary voltage getting into the panel
