    No HDD Detected.

    1. Pick up your phone. 2. Phone your Lawyer 3. Sue the cops!!! If you have a compatable PC try extracting the HDD from it and connect up your own (remember the jumper settings) see if it will start in WINDOWS and if not it will give you an error message. This fault is obviously PC based and depending on the O.S. of your DVR (usually windows or Linux) there should be enough Tech Heads here to help you out. There is a distinct possibility you might have to re-install the O.S. in your DVR. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it Being ex law enforcement- I would say they probably dropped it and the wafers have come off the spindles inside.!!!! Cheers........ Big Luigi

From the most beautiful country in the world I will say "CEUD MILLE FAILTE" in my gaelic tongue which means a hundred thousand welcomes. I have just started my CCTV installation company here in the western central belt which comes along with 30 years of experience with a law enforcement agency. Looking forward to a good chat with you all.

    Silverline DVR?

Hi Big Luigi here and a forum newbie. I came across your thread while looking for a silverline website and had no joy, but being the kinda guy I am decided to join your forum and lend you a hand. I can confirm you have the Silverline DVR but what model I don't know. I looked for a jumper around about the battery where you can normally restore the CMOS settings but to no avail. I also see there is a jumper to the right of the HDD cable socket??? I have the instruction manual and the factory set default P/W is ADMIN: (NULL) / MANAGER: "1"/ USER1: "2" ~ USER8: "9" I have typed it as is from the book hope it means something to you it means nothing to me. Admin can change the P/W as can the manager and the user cannot. As for the Menu, this seems straight forward enough other than that it has been somehow been disabled or maybe it's F... Fu... Fuu... inoperative! Hope something here helps. Big Luigi.
