    cameras/system with best motion detection

Hi. For zero alarm it is best to either look for a camera that also has alarm input or a recorder that has I/o connection for area slams (alarm being notification) and then using motion sensors or motion beams which can be had for around $40

Please tell us why ip will disconnect ? and why do ip only work in the home. Why don’t they work outdoors ?? but for your reference.... most outdoor cameras are ip worldwide.

  6. Hi. This is something that would need to be at the start of your network. At camera means there past your network security. take a look at the netgear routers ....they are fully managed and you get alerted on all smart devices...... put alerts on local ip and also ports and also a log of all access to your network..all controlled via netgear app

Hi. Sounds like you have a good background in IT. I would look at ip systems and how they work .... looking at Cisco networking is a help but goes off topic in relation to ip camera systems. you can look all over the internet for troubleshooting but with so many systems and configurations every problem is different https://www.cbceurope.com/pdf/CCTV-Pocket-Guide.pdf

How did your interview go ? henry457 do you know anything of cctv .......no henry457 do you have experience in maintenance of cctv systems .........no henry457. Congratulations you have the job. But again there is no documentation to help you as each install and each system is different........ to start off you are best getting all documentation from the system the company you got the job with installs. Or better still install one of there systems in your own home and learn how it works. Is the company not sending you out as 2nd man for a while ? but if you want to do homework I would surgest looking up LAN networking as this is a big part of cctv ip systems and will get you further into the industry good luck in your job

Hi. Google is not always right. Pc based is over lan network (dedicated) on switch gear for camera connection. Nvr based camera don’t need to be on lan. Cameras can connect direct to recorder and also be powered on same cable if poe hard drive on your router is not the way you need to do more homework before you waste money. 100% cable is the best option wireless always gives problems. Poweline plugs with ip cameras is the best way to go if cables are a problem

Ok we will forget the question on how did you format. you have 2 threads and 3 posts (only recording 24hrs) so we know your problem. Is hard drive the same make and capacity as the one you removed and how did you format ?

Hi. Guillermo. Apex is a member of the forum .........if your systems are a few years old I think you will have the avermedia systems. so as you are not wasting money I would surgest five in one 5mp hybrid recorders. Analog cameras are not used anymore so a 5 in 1 recorder will allow you to use your existing cameras and allow you to change them as they go down. to all formats on the market now. i would look at TVT units
  13. Hi. You have far from worked it out if you needed to run at 720p. change from h265 to h264. And why are you using the RSTP port ?

Hi. Your budget is a big problem $100 for recorder and cameras. Can't be done. just look at the price of a hard drive and most of your budget has gone. either buy cheap junk fro eBay and waste your $100 or build a system each month by adding to it. I would start of with buying a NVR and each month by a camera

We have a place in Alicante and I am on Vodafone. And your right no extra changes for data calls or text. But you need to go to mobile data setting in your mobile and switch mobile roam on when in Spain. but when you get back to the uk you need to switch mobile roam off. Then switch phone off and back on again and it will connect
  19. Hi. Relay sound on startup and switch off is normal. It will be filters moving on power. Have the cameras run normal before or are they new to you there will be no relay for power in your cameras. But since this is happening to both cameras there are a few things to check since you have already changed power supplies are you using extension cord to plug power supply in ? And also remove and surge protection the cameras are connected too....... also try another power outlet. also another thing to try is set both cameras to there lowest resolution it has. Some software if can’t handle the stream will try to reset the camera over and over

    Hello from the past!

Forget pci cards as a option ... and sunnykim why do you still think pci is cost effective? buy pc ... buy graphics..... buy hard drives.... high power cost and you spend a lot and end up with a 2mp recorder. 2mp is old in analog hd ..... you can buy a good nvr for a lot less than sunnykims out of date cards. kartch. Welcome back. Your right a lot has changed in the industry from the days of D1 and 540tvl .... standard analog has disappeared and replaced with analog HD over coax. Formats are known as TVI. ..CVI ...AHD. All good quality images but equipment goes out of date in 12 months. Just in two years it’s gone from 1mp upto 8mp but there not backward compatible. Ip systems. And NVRs give your system a much longer life and are much easier to install. Mate you looking for home use or business?

Hi. Cvi camera. Sounds like a power supply problem. if you alter the lens and camera goes dead or off that is a good sign. what size power supply are you using and size and length of power cable

    User Manual

Hi. Mike. Your problem sounds like a resolution problem. some low hybrids take a number of types of cameras tvi CVI AHD but the recorder might only be limited to 1 or 2 MP .......if you have everything set high or at its best you could be limiting what system can do. set your cameras to 15fps and set them to medium and see how it goes.

    HIKVision IP Cameras Undependable?

Hi. Wireless is never good. But if your using IP cameras then power line adapters are much better.. Using your exist ion power sockets as data cable from camera to NVR and still able to us your socket outlets as normal. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Powerline-ethernet-Adapter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG?ref_=Oct_BSellerC_1194444_0&pf_rd_p=2600d454-8d00-5310-8190-548da6252157&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=1194444&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=AZT079D1MK25HG6J9YZ9&pf_rd_r=AZT079D1MK25HG6J9YZ9&pf_rd_p=2600d454-8d00-5310-8190-548da6252157 you will still need to power your camera and there are a few ways of doing that. you can power your cameras with adapters or if your cameras or some are around the same location you would only need 1 powerline adapter and say a 4 way Poe switch (will power 4 cameras ) and everything is local to the cameras ....and the data is sent via your socket outlet back to your NVR.
