Hi. Your post is a bit confusing..... before you do anything with hard drive You say in your post you checked all camera wires..... this would have nothing to do with hard drive Are all your cameras still showing on monitor ?

That way needs software..... just entering IP address into browser is easier

Hi. You might be going down the wrong path. If you have coax already run. Why don't you look at 5mp tvi or cvi cameras and recorder. You can use your existing cables and add. Also you can have more than 1 camera on coax

If you have been trying to get into your recorder with passwords that did not work it will lock out. To get past the lock out you need to switch off the recorder for 20 minutes then back on You only need to do this after every 3 attempts of entering a password

Before you enter any passwords ... switch your recorder off for 20 minutes. Then try each of these passwords till you get in 255332 000000 953688

Cost €5000 new ....... might of with cameras and fitting but recorder on its own was only €700 back then. But it’s worth nothing now. People do like to help ... but when something is that old ....and probably out of a skip What are you using the recorder for ? How will you get footage to police if you ever need to ? Your willing to spend €10 on it ...... you would be better using that €10 and buy secondhand 960h recorder of eBay
