  1. . You can see it go out of sink by eye.... But again was it lag on recording or did the ball stick. How do you think this is going to help the cctv industry ? Loosing millisecond is not worth anything in cctv industry . We’re would your software be run .... on recorder or analysis it after ? Your demo video is only a upside down lollipop going left and right. Cctv would be people tress cars pets all together which is why cctv footage has electronic signature and watermark. Signatures got introduced years ago to verify tampering Of footage ..... all well known manufactures run it on native recording Some cheap China eBay crap don’t ..... this is why you never use cheap junk in commercial or high risk systems
  2. Hi. First question is WHY. That is close to 20 years old. No support..... Very low image quality.......proprietary playback which can't be used now. Time for a new one.
  3. It’s like most the warrant is from the seller not the end user We’re did he buy his system from ? He could also buy another from eBay.... still does not stop the snoop embedded
  4. Yes .... watermark or signature. Frame drop like your first image would be noticeable by eye and most of the time it’s down to bad settings or bad HDrive. As far as lag ...... lag is not noticeable to even bother about or for you to design software to detect it. Lag does not loose frames it looses time. But like in your second image .....it might only loose 1000s of a second which is not noticeable Take your second image It looks as if right image has lost sink it could be the left ....your image only shows one is out of sink but which one. .... is the one on the right too slow or left too fast. But if it was two videos none have lost image but one has lost time (sink) but again 1000s of a second which is nothing to bother about .... you can’t blink that fast. And another problem in your lag .... where would you put your lag detection...... footage is burnt off and viewed on a pc which can naturally have lag
  5. Hi. Simple fix. I think you are talking about the little button fan on the right hand side of the case. Open your unit and cut 1 wire from fan and replace lid . That fan has always been a problem with dahua recorders it's too small to do anything. Just keep air vents clear and it will last you a few more years

    Wireless CCTV with Built-in Repeaters?

Adding heat would be more of a problem.......dvr / NVR generates its own heat via cpu We use nano a lot. But like stated in first post the budget is low. Using eithernet over power is a cost effective way .......and also if anything blocks the nano all cameras gone ........over power it does not matter even if it fails as its not transmitting video data. Cameras are home run to recorder.

    Wireless CCTV with Built-in Repeaters?

It will be twice your budget. But again not as good as wired and will be out of date in 12 months plus you can only use that manufactures cameras I still say 4x5mp IP with NVR is your best option. That's why I surgest CCTV NVR be in same location as cameras. Then use LAN connection over power. Your buildings will be 3 phase but your house will be single but it will be from the 3 phase.

    Wireless CCTV with Built-in Repeaters?

There is a system off the shelf. But your budget is low. Wireless systems exist and are more expensive than wired .... But they don't last long and they do have faults. With your budget you can install something like a 5mp IP system But install it where the cameras are going to be .......it's getting everything back to your house that's the problem. It would be cheaper to keep recorder and cameras in the same area ......then you only need a network connection to your house for alerts.

    Wireless CCTV with Built-in Repeaters?

Is your farm on 3 phase? And what location is your meter. Is there anyway to get cat5 from house to sheds ? Are you in Wales

    Wireless CCTV with Built-in Repeaters?

Hi. Don't waste money on wireless If you can get power to camera location then you can also get data. How far are cameras apart ?
  12. Hi. Try this one. But I would also look at changing your 12 year old unit for something better. HRDP-Fusion HD by Honeywell International, Inc. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/hrdp-fusion-hd/id680796012?mt=8
  13. Hi. I would look at your camera setting first. If your not happy with 12mp day time then settings are wrong. How are you viewing the camera

    Briton DVR lost HDMI/VGA output

Hi. Your cpu is not fan cooled so yes they get hot that's standard. You still need to try your recorder in a 1080 monitor or tv. This is a common fault
  15. And again do away with your PCs that run capture cards and use a hybrid instead. Is the cheapest option. Or just use hikvision encoders but that is a waste of money
  16. Hi. That is totally the wrong information Best way is to go hybrid if still using old cameras. You can go with encoders but that is just wasting your money with a hybrid now will take old analog and cvi- tvi- IP. Cvi and tvi is upto 5mp now and analog HD is a lot cheaper replacing a analog camera than what it is for a encoder sorry, you didn't read carefully, all system is old include cables, Its first. Second, now cameras is split to 2 different zones and pc , where is connected cameras, stay in separate place. Now for view cameras, use 3th pc, and I don't like it, because made decision change all system and my questions is about only time solution and last one, I looking forward to the future ok just now analog cameras is little bit reborn, but future is IP systems finally is most cheaper Well the answer is the same ......use a hybrid dvr for your old cameras. And if you use a hybrid hikvision dvr and with your new hikvision NVR you only need hik VMS to have all on 1 PC

    Briton DVR lost HDMI/VGA output

Yes I figured that out from your first post. The two monitors you tested after the original did not display .......are they the same make model and res ?? When you switch your dvr off and back on again does anything show on your monitor at all even for a short time ?. Your dvr also has another output BNC which is unrelated to the HDMI and VGA .......have you tried that option

    Briton DVR lost HDMI/VGA output

Hi. The output resolution can still be your problem. If your unit is putting out 1080 and you connect to 720 it will not show anything. It’s called out of range

    Briton DVR lost HDMI/VGA output

Hi. Your next step is to try another monitor and see what happens. Do you still have remote view ? I tried three monitors.but the problem persists. as I said, DVR was working and suddenly display went out. Same question still applies. If your HDMI output is 1080 and you are checking on 720 monitor it will not show anything. Apart from no image what is your recorder doing ......is it starting up. Is it connected to the Internet and if so can you log on to it

    Networking and installation

Hi. What you have to take into account is your using 4K And please don't use hikvision NVR Is your tv 4K Do you have a tv upstairs Were are you located. 8 x4k cameras down one cat cable will give you a lot of problems. You will also need good switches not cheap equipment. You have a few options ......power adapter from NVR to router for your remote view will work no problem as that is a lower stream anyway. Putting recorder with your tv is not a secure place .......if a house is broken into is usually the tv and AV equipment that is gone including your recorder. Which is why I ask if you have a tv in a bedroom You could keep everything in your loft and just have a HDMI to that tv. For your down stairs tv you could just use an app along with Apple box or android box. Or again NVR somewhere secure and use a HDMI with USB extender ......1 cat5 from NVR down to tv with full image and mouse control
  24. Yes a saw your first image Camera like yours were recalled 4 years ago because of the problem with a white sun sheld Both hikvision and Swann sunshield needs to be black on lens side all white camera are like this now
