I would talk anyone out of buying any of these home smart cameras. Customer would be much smarter staying away from smart cameras. Usually they come with a monthly charge even tho they have paid for the camera in the first place. And that charge is for each camera. Then you have the problem of who keeps the footage...... something your not in control of. Cameras with 3rd party involvement are never a good thing 1st the setup for the home user is plug it into your network and let the device do the rest. It just puts a big unsecured hole in your home network and customers not even knowing Table top smart cameras ...... 3rd party watching and listening in your own home. Then you have the other problem. You spend money buying table top camera you pay a monthly subscription for storage and if someone steels or damage your car or steels your ride on mower....... you don’t have that footage. Then there is the cloud service you pay for .... some store only a day and only so much data some are 7 days .........some people go on holiday for 2 weeks. People need to do homework before they buy smart devices.......there smart but not for your benifit

Hi. You would only be wasting money using analog cameras. You already bought a tvi camera so you know it’s not expensive for HD. Using a old D1 pci card will just keep giving you problems plus the cost of running a PC vs a DVR. Look for POC tvi cameras and a POC tvi DVR and then you can also do away with your power supply’s

Hi. I would keep it simple Register with no-IP yourself and leave Alibi out of it.
-
Hi. What country are you in ? Police can't use the footage from that length of time holding for a year is pointless
-
Hi. It depends on type of dvr. But some avtech ........ If you power down for 20mins then press and hold the menu button while you power the dvr back up it will take you to menu. If your talking remote control only then your dvr is old most in the past ten years have been remote and also mouse controlled Have you tried connecting a mouse to the USB

Hi. Is this for home or business use ? Why do you need to hold for 12 months
-
So both your threads are pointless .... pictures of pc software are useless Instead of arguing why don’t you post what you actually want. As far as your posts ..... you can’t access your system on your pc I am 5000 mile from you .... and if you listen to instructions YOU TOO can see your garage door like I can.

The answer is the same as in your other post Using pc away from your local network you need to use the network serial number This is found on your mobile device on XMEye
-
If you don’t give the right info or answer basic questions ... who’s fault is it you get nowhere If you follow the basic guide on your dvr menu it sets it up for you. If you add another port you can use all dahua apps and software It’s only you that makes it hard for yourself
-
You seem to be confusing your own problem. We can only work on what you post. Your last post is different to your first post on this post. If you have noble access then all you need is the serial number from the app on your mobile device
-
Hi. You don’t need to port forward ...... you only need to use dvr ip in your browser But you need to load as administarator
-
Did you run program as administrator? Or just enter dvr ip into your browser Http/:192.169.x.xx

Hi XMEye is the software...... delete the program from your pc and right click on the program and select run as administrator You also need app XMEye for you mobile devised .... best way is to select guide in your dvr menu and follow the instructions

Hi . I would look at something better than Swann If you are looking at using your existing coax cable then you need to look at HD analog such at cvi or tvi (Swann is tvi) Cat5 cable will run all types of camera formats so if you are re- cabling go with cat5. I would look at lorex which is dahua and much better than Swann at the same price.

Digital security system for side street shop - suggestions?
tomcctv replied to Fata Morgana's topic in General Digital Discussion
That’s because you don’t leave information requested D p a data protection ... if you don’t think it applies to you then you need to do more research You have said nothing about if you sell alcohol or have lottery terminal. There are laws you have to understand installing in your shop. It does not involve more money but it does help you not to waste your money if you buy a system that fails to comply We have a lot of customers in ****ermouth. But to keep it simple..... Tell us your budget Tell us if you sell alcohol or lottery Do you just want to buy the equipment or are you looking for it to be installed -

Digital security system for side street shop - suggestions?
tomcctv replied to Fata Morgana's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. I have a view hotel systems in ****ermouth.... Got some footage here of the bad floods a few years ago. In the Wordsworth hotel. High street corner shop is ok but don't waste your money on something that your local council is no good. It depends on what you sell in your shop. If you sell alcohol or if you have a national lottery terminal you will also need a camera outside your shop. But I would look at HD 5mp IP system which will give you nice clear footage. Will you be installing yourself and what is your budget. -

Hi if it works on your installers mobile then you don’t need to do anything with your recorder or network. You only need to copy settings on installers mobile -
