PTZ programming advice needed
tomcctv replied to barrett4387's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Are you using a NVR or PC to record. It's a little harder when all cameras are PTZs usually its activated via a static camera or some sort of sensor -
Hi. A and B is for control from a dvr or controller A is + data B is - data It will be marked up on your dvr as either A and B or rs485 + and - You will need to go into camera menu to find its protocol

No it can't .......what will trigger the event ?? You are expecting to much from face recognition...... You will need a PC ..... You will need a database of everyone who enters the building including service people. You would be better with a door entry system either via card or biometrics. One the lock has been activated a camera on the other side of the door will start to record and send alerts to your mobile or managements mobile with real time video so you can see if the card holder is by themself or with someone else. The other good reason for door entry is only people with a entry card can get past the door. Which will work much better for you. Door entry will also log who enters the building every time. No one can recommend anything before you give your budget

Replacement Analog Entryway Camera for old wired system
tomcctv replied to donna123's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. Are you based in Europe? The green power plug was not sold much in the U S. The green plug will come off by just screwing of the + and - terminal and you get a replacement with most camera manufactures. -
Hi. For what you want to do it's going to cost you a lot of money and then it would be easy for people to get past. Face recognition needs more than what you think. First you need a database of people's faces who are allowed....... And your tenants don't need to allow you to hold that information. Then you would need every person to pass a location where a camera can detect the face every time. If people lower there head so it's easy to get passed. You would be better using a door entry which will trigger recording when door is opening and closing and also log the persons who used the door. The recorder will also show how many entry and exits each day. What is your budget ?

Hi. Systems usually come in 4-8-16 and on. If your looking for 5 cameras then you need an 8 way. Is this for a home or business? And why do you want face recognition? Face recognition is usually found on high end pro You have to keep in mind face recognition is not the same as face detection which is what you find on small systems..... face detection can not determine a known person vs unknown person face detection takes images of every face.which never works right and you won’t use as it’s the footage you would turn to anyway. I would look at lorex as they give you the cloud if needed and you can also know have the option if in USA or uk to use a local monitoring station which is a good option to use if your away from home for a long period of time like a holiday and when back have the monitoring stopped..... this saves paying for a full years monitoring

Hi. For that type of camera OSD is local to camera ...... via test monitor .. it does not get control from recorder. You would use OSD while up ladder with a monitor ... do all your setting with the inline controller. Once set that’s it.

Why don't you ask him to return all birthday and Christmas gifts as well. Why after two years have you decided you want paying ......and why did you not do anything about not being paid at or around time of install. It's your father..... Let it go. If you want to be a son .... Help him get his bar back on track Be a man or a child. -
Hi. Yours sounds like a simple problem .........if the IR is on at night but you can't see in playback then that sounds like a stuck cut filter....... Also check the camera settings to see if night mode is switched to auto ...... If camera is told to stay in colour then again even tho IR is on at night colour will not see IR

Hi. Are you using app or just looking to get pc remote view ? What dvr do you have and which apps are you using Looks like your on virgin media

Hi. I would do a quick test first and use your external ip along with the port number of your dvr and see if it works. As your ddns was setup via 3rd party the account might of been deleted
