Hi. Just looked through the manual Your camera can be changed via recorder ........ You can also set time or sensitivity...... Try changing that for day night mode. Could be going day mode too early When you change day night manually on menu does it stick -

Hi. How many power supplies are you using . If only using 1 of the block type it could be a power problem .... If all outdoor cameras change at the same time. -
Hi. If you are local ...(home network. ) you can just use the IP address of the recorder ..... you will find this in recorder network menu example 192.168.1.x and enter that into your browser Away from your home on pc or laptop you need to enter your external ip .... you can find that buy clicking this link and the ip shows is yours. But you will also need to know the port of your recorder ... also found under network on your recorder and you enter into browser example like this Http://myip:port https://www.myip.com

What is the max distance for PoE?
tomcctv replied to spikecoos21's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Before your buy that system is cheap from the manufactures and you get longer warranty and better apps and cloud and 15% off It’s the lorex system (Canada) Going full 4k over your distances you will need to give some idea as to how many cameras are long runs .... is it cheaper or better to go with managed switches or Poe extenders do you need all cameras to be on 4k or can you reduce the res to 2k in areas Can you post a picture or drawing of distances and camera locations I would also say on your network use cat6 -
They have more support for that camera than hikvision nvr You will loose some functions going onvif connection. Stick with the same manufacture it will save you problems Look at dahua or lorex nvrs or just run the camera via a pc and still use all the dahua apps

Why countless hours...... you was told what to do a few posts back -
Can I ask why it needs to be a hikvision camera .... only difference is the name printed on it . As far as performance there the same. ADE will have the turret cams in talk to them Also what spec is your nvr ... changing from 3mp to 5mp might be over its limit

Hikvision Driving Me Nuts
tomcctv replied to latreche34's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Few years old ..... old firmware....... no platform Access Means can’t connect to hik-connect. Your unit needs the security patch to use the new hik-connect You need to enter platform Access number into your nvr At the moment you can’t without firmware. But you still can connect with mobile apps by just missing out the hik-connect server and using your static IP address -
Hikvision Driving Me Nuts
tomcctv replied to latreche34's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Ok . Your going from hik-online to hik-connect. You can still use hik-online. But if your going to hik-connect there was a register date Nov-Dec last year and if you missed that then you are going to have to look for the latest firmware for your unit. And that's where the new password comes in ...... The password is for your NVR 8 characters letter and numbers or symbol must be used for it to accept -

Hi. Jeromephone. These new ones are not two piece. These are standard rj45 but with the 8 holes at the top. Your right any network tester is a time saver. How are you finding business at the moment ..... The industry has picked up a lot more than usual
-
Rj45 have always been a problem for the DIYer and Infact time consuming for a pro. Simple ideas are always the best ...... Cut cat cable after the crimping no more misplaced wire and get right first time easy fit rj45

The specs you pointed out reflect "Decoding" capability, not Encoding. We’re on the spec does it say decoding encoding capability ??? The spec I posted is from that nvr ..... it also states the bandwidth Buy the 32 way it’s you who is wasting money

DIY 5 Camera Wired Home System?? - Budget £1000
tomcctv replied to pinkroses's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. That is a good budget ..........but you need to look at 8 camera system .... Systems come in 4-8-16-32. Your looking at 5mp cameras with NVR if your installing yourself Cat5 cable run from NVR to camera ....IP does not need extra cable for power as the NVR also powers the cameras (POE system) There are uk built systems like the viper which has emap alarm mobile viewing and playback and P2P connection that stays in this country .... 3 years warranty (uk) -
