Why are you fixed on 4k This will be a waste of money for an apartment complex 4 or 5mp will be just as good for you and will not use a lot of your budget for storage.

No that’s not how it works But still you would of maxed out and that’s only 8 channels what about your 4 x 4mp Why buy a 32 way and only use less than half .... save your money and buy a 16way

Not on that recorder you can’t ..... max is 4 And if your looking at using 16 cameras ....... You can only use 16 X 1080p

Hi. Your two indoor dome cameras might just have a light problem. Get a tourch and shine it into your cameras and see if it goes colour. Your power supply problem ...... If your system is a year or so old then yes you will have a power supply somewhere you will need to find it

How many 4K cameras do you want to run on that recorder ?

Hi can you give make of recorder or post images of recorder network screen. Also which app are you using for your phone. You also never port forward 80 on your router so delete that rule.

Hi. Your going to be charging for a security service ....... but only recording . You need to do more than just a recorder and a few cameras.

Ok go into main menu click system then on left bottom option should be digital click on that and channel type will show up how many options do you get on your recorder Also you might want to check this Normal screen ...... right click on camera 1 pick output adjust from menu VGA/HDMI and move brightness to 50 and see what happends

It depends how you look at the spec You need to look at capability of the 16 way 16 cameras at res D1 ..... or 12 cameras at 720p or 6 cameras at 1080p Your existing cameras Swann did at one stage lock there cameras to only use on there system They are hikvision cameras you have but you will need to check how open they are...... you can do this by removing them from your recorder and connecting one direct to your router and see if you can get into the camera via your web browser

Hi. The Swann you have is better than the hi watch 16 channel at D1 ..... is pointless. That means lowering you cameras from 1080 to D1 It only does 6 channel at 1080p Look at something else besides the hiwatch systems

Hi. Was the other dvr AHD? Your screen is showing AHD channel..... so you will get no image if there analog

Hi firmware would not help you ...... if unit was working Have you changed the video format on each channel? On each camera screen there are icons bottom left....... you need to click on the last one. Till the format is displayed ... click then it shows cvi click again it shows tvi click again and it shows AHD click again and it show analog But each time you change it wait 10 seconds before you click again Just do it on one camera if that fixed it then do the rest

Hi. I have sent firmware to your pm. Try this on your 16 first .... As it is not working anyway The Apollo is a dahua ..... But give that firmware a try (it is the Apollo version)

Hi. Some 16 and 32 use external power supplies ....... If yours is then try using the 32 power supply on the 16 and see if it starts. Not having any control of your 32 menu could just be your password does not have full admin rights to the system settings

Hi. Unplug all hard drives and cameras and network cable then try to start it up Also while it’s booting look at all the fans in unit and see if they are starting up........ fans are monitored if they don’t spin it will shut down

Hi all power lines have a IP address so you need to change each one and give it there own if using multiple IP address will be on power line .... enter that into your browser ( when both are paired) and set different IP address for each pair and give them a name as well so easier to find on your network
