Hi. These are your local settings you don’t need to hide anything . There no good to anyone. Your http you need to change that from 80 to something like 5550 And you will need to port forward that on your router for remote You never portforward 80. Then type 192.168.x.x:5550 into your browser...... make shure you have administrator rights and it will load active x for you

Hi can you post a picture of your network screen on the dvr.
-
Why do you tftp into it. Plug direct into it ..... Not through local network .... Connect direct with a cable Put IP into explore....... And menu screen pops up..... Go to configuration then screen settings ...... It can not be more simple . 10 mins out of your life .......your way ..... You have been doing for a week and still not got anywhere Dahua put settings configuration this way for a reason .... To keep it simple. Infact download the software from dahua onto a pen drive ..... Go to as above but go update software page.

Hi. It might be better if you carefully take the rj45 connectors apart on one of your other cameras...... you will get it right first time then
-
Hi. Sounds like not enough power when it gets to night mode What size is your power supply and how far is the camera from the power

Generic or universal firmware for unknown DVR?
tomcctv replied to CntrlAltDel's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. You can’t use firmware to upgrade from analog to HD ..... hardware is also needed. DVRs are cheap now so look for a 5 in 1 dvr to run all formats of camera. -
Cvi is analog HD not IP Cvi will fill your HD tv screen were analog will not unless you go for a analog 960h camera
-
Hi analog is not lag free However cvi is none lag real time. And no way are you going to get a better image with analog For what your budget is why not just buy a cvi dvr ..... better image than you will get with old analog plus 4mp you have scop to zoom Going back to analog will be your bad purchase
-
So you want to give away your 2mp cvi .... buy a analog with a $100 budget That makes no sense at all ..... buying a cheap dvr without hard drive will work out cheaper The dvr is only being used so you cam view the hd image on your monitor which also will be much better than any analog image
-
Hi . First don’t pay anymore than $20 for an analog camera Why do you not want to record at your front door. I would use the cvi camera you have and just look for a cheap cvi recorder

Hikvision DS-7208HTHI-K2 Record Rate
tomcctv replied to swampguinnie's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Wow $600 for a 4 way dvr ..... and again they are not 30fps it says upto. 960h 720p will be 30 1080 and over won’t be. Cvi will do 25fps but anything from 15 to 25 is good you won’t see any difference Are you looking at home use or business -

Hi. The Swann is only a AHD system 1 format Buy from Swann if that's the system you want ...... Same price as on Amazon ..... But you will at least get backup
-
Hi. No dvr or alarm system required Just GJD sensors and control unit which connects to the camera direct. The camera is always recording .... The point of the GJD is you also get alerts when sensors detect movement ...... Which is much more reliable than camera set to motion detect. Cameras with motion detect will pic up rain snow small birds and also light change ..... To a point it becomes useless ANPR is something the camera does
-
Hi. You need to set it to cvi .. analog you will not have control Cam ID is the Chanel your in ..... so if your camera is in port 4 of dvr camera is called 4 in menu Ptz local ...... cvi ..... cvi ..... 9600 should be your settings
-
Hi. With solar I would have cameras with alarm inputs which would save you on battery usage and alarm using your power which would also need some sort of mobile alert unit. There is a camera in the uk that is for farms and also has a very cleaver number plate catcher ... 2mp full stand alone IR. And as for sensors gjd are the best battery operated long range with battery life of 3 years again no drain on your solar battery http://www.gjd.co.uk/products/wireless-detectors/d-tect-universal-gjd630 The cameras are around £300 but are 3-4-5g network number plate recognition and car colour .... it will ignor cars you know but will send video of all cars it does not know to your mobile it also stores video to an SD card and also option to go to a uk monitoring station

Newbie - CCTV system in Sri Lanka - please can someone help?
tomcctv replied to lara21's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Ok what is the rod going to connect to on the tree? Can I also point out in ops picture ... the lights are not on which points to having some sort of switch Separating power feeds first is best. Then I would remove all bnc from dvr and check voltage on each one. I would also then touch dvr with all bnc disconnected to see if the shock problem has gone. And I also suspect the power is from generator and not grid. But I’ll leave the post to you as pointless turning them into augments
