  1. Buying 2 for price of one your not bothered about warranty but you are bothered if can't do firmware update. Gray market cameras will not be able to use genuine firmware after next month they have all changed there security. But why would you think they a responsible for your camera if YOU do the update ........every company genuine or not will not send you a replacement. Two posts today ....... And you have already found the problems viewtopic.php?f=3&t=55910&p=305823#p305823

Then type 192.168.x.x:5550 into your browser...... make shure you have administrator rights and it will load active x for you

Hi. Sounds like not enough power when it gets to night mode What size is your power supply and how far is the camera from the power
  11. Hi. You can’t use firmware to upgrade from analog to HD ..... hardware is also needed. DVRs are cheap now so look for a 5 in 1 dvr to run all formats of camera.

    Salvaging bad purchase

Cvi is analog HD not IP Cvi will fill your HD tv screen were analog will not unless you go for a analog 960h camera

    Salvaging bad purchase

Hi analog is not lag free However cvi is none lag real time. And no way are you going to get a better image with analog For what your budget is why not just buy a cvi dvr ..... better image than you will get with old analog plus 4mp you have scop to zoom Going back to analog will be your bad purchase

    Salvaging bad purchase

So you want to give away your 2mp cvi .... buy a analog with a $100 budget That makes no sense at all ..... buying a cheap dvr without hard drive will work out cheaper The dvr is only being used so you cam view the hd image on your monitor which also will be much better than any analog image

    Salvaging bad purchase

Hi . First don’t pay anymore than $20 for an analog camera Why do you not want to record at your front door. I would use the cvi camera you have and just look for a cheap cvi recorder

    Hikvision DS-7208HTHI-K2 Record Rate

Wow $600 for a 4 way dvr ..... and again they are not 30fps it says upto. 960h 720p will be 30 1080 and over won’t be. Cvi will do 25fps but anything from 15 to 25 is good you won’t see any difference Are you looking at home use or business
