  1. This is the problem with gray market cameras .... the price ...... the camera listed on here is a lot cheaper than trade from hikvision. So if hikvision can’t sell at that price ..... it means your getting a copy It’s like a China Rolex watch for $15 and looks like a $5k genuine the problem is it does not make it a 5k watch The other problem is everyone (not authorised) selling hikvision are over priced. Because people think hikvision is the best and it’s far from it when you buy gray market. You either buy a camera with a sticker on it and not care in updates and support or even quality or you forget about name and look for quality support and something that lasts. The most complained about cctv nvr and cameras on any forum is hikvision .... can’t retrieve footage of footage not found or have to connect hik cam to nvr via onvif ( which should not be needed to use) But all these problem are not hikvision ...... it’s the gray market hikvision ..... copies of hikvision ....... use a Hikvision NVR with gray market cameras and you get no updates ...... no security patches no support .... but people are always happen with a copy. It’s like last Christmas all the iPhone 7s bought from China over eBay People where happy they had an iPhone 7 .....they are not bothered when switched it on it had android software they still think they have a iPhone Guess what they don’t have ..... an iPhone ..... it’s gray market crap And that’s the same with hikvision gray market ....... you don’t have a hikvision
  2. Hi. Not the easiest thing to setup .........why are you connected via cable ? Did you register your network with Hubble..... (Your network not just the camera ) I'll post a link for you to try at the end of post. It is at this point I would say return the camera and not bother with it. And point out for what you have paid you can have better You can not have video from camera unless you pay for the storage........ Buy a camera you own and not have to pay to use it But. Click the link and see if your IP has automatically been added to Hubble...... If you get the error message you need to do setup again. ...... Remove your rj45 from camera before you click the link..... It searches for wifi .... Not cable connected. Hubbleconnect.com

    Remote viewing of DVR

Ok. Well you have no problems in pressing the reset button on your router ....... As you are only using it locally you don't need to do any port forwarding Reset your router ..... Then go into dvr network setting and you will see a tick box DHCP tick it and press apply. Come out of network screen and then go back into it. Under IP address ..... That is the IP you need to use ....... You don't need to do any port forwarding Just enter into your laptop browser http://IP address from your dvr. And it will connect

Hi. If you still use the vigor router you should not have a problem You only need the local IP address of your dvr which can be found in network settings .it will be something like 192.168.1.x and the port will be 37777 ...... Just enter all that into your PSS. For a quick test again look for local IP in dvr network settings and then just type your IP and port into your browser http://192.167.1.x:37777. And that should take you direct to your dvr browser screen
  12. Hi a faraday cage is not the problem ..... if the camera 8 inch way from it has no problems. What happend when you swap both cameras over .... put good one we’re bad one is. You only need to swap cables over. What type of baluns did you use and what is the distance of cable run .... and do both cameras have there own cable or have you just used 1 cat5 for both
  13. It's a simple order from hikvision for 8mm. Only have to state with 8mm or any of the other options when ordering Do you not offer that with your original hikvisions

    Dahua GDMSS remote acces TIP

Hi. You should not port 80 on your router .........you should change port 80 on your recorder to something else and then port forward that on your router......... Best security is always change user name password and port 80 which are all admin default and should be changed
  16. It's ok it will stay up. You come on for advice .......... You don't like what you hear. Even down to surgesting using external lighting to help you don't accept. You buy crap yet you want better from your crap Your not using a IP raspberry....... Your not using iPhone cam You paid $90 for something that's all over eBay for $20 There is still one born everyday I just asked "If there's a way to improve night light?" You can answer "NO" and get your way. You still can't tell me, which sensor is used in the camera. If I know the sensor (the 20 usd crap) I can know, if it is IR blocking or sensitive. I did not answer no on how to improve night vision ........ Did you not read the post on adding the light from Costco.? Does your little camera have IR fitted now ?? Answer is no ..... So why would a cut filter be added You seam to be taking offence to the reply ....... Where if you looked at it as help Let's go back to your camera ....... IR or not .....say your looking into your garden and someone walked around your garden at night. You would have to sit and watch that footage from your SD card you would have to watch it all....... So if you recorded 8 hours you would have to watch 8 hours to see if anything happend....... You have no way of detecting motion. Adding the light with PIR I listed gives you an indication of movement in your garden and it will make it much easier for you when looking back on your SD card ....as you are only interested in footage were the light comes on (seen in your footage) also saves you watching 8 hours

    CCTV system advice for house

Well since your involving me in your posts ...... Ok I will correct you NVR ......Network Video Recorder. Simple mistake for someone who has never used one. But you are right IP cameras can recorded to NVR or SD card .........but your wrong in saying you need to Internet access for anything else. It's a rookie mistake that people think you need Internet for a IP setup. You only need a LAN network (local area network) and that allows more recording options ...... PC with vms ....local cloud....raid. Only time you need Internet or WAN is if you want off site storage or cameras are in another location (miles away) or to have the ability to view your system when away from you LAN. Your right with options DVR or NVR. But there is also hybrid .......which most DVRs these days are.

  19. Buy 1 to test first would be the best thing Wonder why there can’t do 8mm lens it’s offered from hikvision

    CCTV system advice for house

Did you check there feed back on eBay and Amazon They also say aurtherised don't sell on eBay or Amazon ....... The link I posted is from there site. ..... But they do. And the feed back is not good. Mohammed Khan is the owners name call him tomorrow if you want to confirm he sells on eBay and Amazon Remember we are not talking about hikvision cameras ......... It's the NVR problems and you only need to look at the forum ....... Cams not much problems .........recorders .... Well pages and pages of problems
  21. First of all, please tell me, what kind of sensor is used so I can check it. I'm so sorry, but I paid 90 bugs and I don't want to protect my car..... And this is really getting trolly, if you ask me... I cannot understand people like you. The rasperry pi with a cheap cam is able to do so (of course handwork is needed), but a professional camera isn't able to do with some modification??? For the Administrators, please do, what you have to do. PS: For your information, today sensors are not very expensive like it has used to be. Iphones are made 50 USD in China and getting sold 1000 Dollar. Belive me, today electronical parts are the less expensive things, only costy thing are licences or delivery. PS: Magic never works. Please don't think you cheap cam has anything like a iPhone camera . If you can install a better sensor and a lens do it ....... But to save you all the messing about why not just install a PIR light where cam is located ........ Better image than IR and image will be in colour. Something like this from Costco
  22. Sorry I can only put it this was ........ Stop messing around with junk...... You have a $10 camera and you want to protect your car. One thing you can try but I don't think it will work ...... But you can buy them from Amazon tap cam and see what happends. https://goo.gl/images/W5J7WE
  23. Hi. Have you also switched off your router and back on again ..... Also creat a local loging ...... Just over your wifi and the DVRs IP address 192.168.1.x. ......your IP address will be found in network settings on dvr
