Mobile DVR Security Camcorder: How to improve quality?
tomcctv replied to anon001's topic in Security Cameras
First of all, please tell me, what kind of sensor is used so I can check it. I'm so sorry, but I paid 90 bugs and I don't want to protect my car..... And this is really getting trolly, if you ask me... I cannot understand people like you. The rasperry pi with a cheap cam is able to do so (of course handwork is needed), but a professional camera isn't able to do with some modification??? For the Administrators, please do, what you have to do. PS: For your information, today sensors are not very expensive like it has used to be. Iphones are made 50 USD in China and getting sold 1000 Dollar. Belive me, today electronical parts are the less expensive things, only costy thing are licences or delivery. PS: Magic never works. Please don't think you cheap cam has anything like a iPhone camera . If you can install a better sensor and a lens do it ....... But to save you all the messing about why not just install a PIR light where cam is located ........ Better image than IR and image will be in colour. Something like this from Costco -

Well check them out on Amazon ........ If you buy after reading that then you need help. Oh hikvision don't allow aurtherised sellers to sell on Amazon how can that happen. Hongli He........is the uk hikvision director it only takes you a phone call .... Or he might chime in. He is in China If your happy over spending £1.700 with a hikvision recorder then you need to do a bit more home work. Like what has already been said genuine hikvision cameras are good but there NVRs are out of date and problematic every time they do updates. You only have to search forum and it's the most complained about NVR along with there ivms............just too day there are 2 new posts ..... Can't connect because of time differance. Since you are a few months away from changing I'll give you and a friend a free pass to the largest CCTV show in Europe that is held in London every year ...... It starts 22nd of March 2018. Go and try all systems see new tech and I'll sort out your vip lunch with all manufacturers

You can't do anything with a dash cam -

Adding IR will not work with that camera. No cut filter or a lens filter. And your link are the wrong ir s anyway. Buy yourself a cctv camera with ir and built in SD card -
Direct from there website ............now I can tell you they do sell on Amazon and eBay ...... And the same problem as on there website there over priced .........tvi hik from a distributor is £40 cheaper I know how many people there are in the uk I also know who the distributors are for all products in the uk .... 36 years in the industry in the uk I like to keep my hand in. Can I ask why you want to change your Swann system after only a few weeks could you have bought better ? Hi view hikvision platform your right is there new domestic range and will keep with the existing hikvision platform which was said earlier in one of the posts ......but the new hikvision range complete new software - new apps will not be backward compatable.

No . I don’t have an answer. But like I have said no problem using hik cameras ... it’s recorders I have problem with ...... hik are about to change recorder software let’s see how old cams cope with that . Company you list if you buy from them ask this question.. Why are they selling 4 way tvi kit with only 3 cameras ... and have to buy the 4th camera separate ........ it’s like buying a car with only 3 wheels

Hikvision camera quality issue?
tomcctv replied to mudcow007's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
+1 Plus when you say bought from eBay baluns do they look like this eBay is full of these and they are not baluns. -
Hi. Out of your list there is only one aurtherised distributor. And that is use-IP. And like I said hikvision cameras are easy to get its recorders that are not ..... Use-IP only sells cameras 2 and 3 are only sellers ...... And 1 of the companies does sell gray market ........ They have 3 cameras listed that hikvision have never used that camera design RF concepts ........ As you can check on forum we have a relationship with and for a long time ............ The biggest CCTV company in Ireland and honest in everything they sell. So only two out of your list. Don't confuse aurtherised with UK seller. And it's easy to check ask for authorisation number.

Sorry had to put your post back .......... Otherwise no one know what is being discussed

Licence for tx has been in place over 10 years No such thing as contractor / subcontractor without a licence in TX So as in the other post about insurance ........ You can't cover it
-
Just done a check on your company ............why do you not have a licence for your own state ?? $400k last year ......... Why not get your own licence for your state and then extend its state use.
-
I think a licence holder would rarther keep his licence and not put it at risk for $20k
-
Hi. Sounds like you are only on VGA monitors ........you are wasting money going HDMI back to VGA image quality is crap. You can still use your VGA out and connect 4 monitors. In your case 10m VGA can be had for $30 10m VGA cable $40 And then just use a VGA power boost splitter $30

I know hik is not available from aurtherised uk. There are only a few Cameras are available but recorders are not popular. I still say look at qvis viper NVR much better spec it a uk product
-
How would that work ........ Use another company licence ........ Use that company to pull permits (which would be in that company name) and liabilities would be with the licence holder. You get $27k No liability licence holder gets $3k and any problems ....... How does warranty and invoicing workout. How does insurance work when permits are not in your company. Let the licence holders in those States keep there work get the contracts . Because like YOU said they also have kids to feed.

Explain why it’s a must have feature .......

Different brand DVR & Cameras
tomcctv replied to hjartland's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. You have the AHD analog system not IP. So if you are looking at only changing the recorder you need to look for a dvr that supports AHD cameras Just google AHD dvr. And like many have learned Samsung are far from a rated CCTV company. -

Hi . They are not ONVIF........ Do you have IP cameras ....... If your dvr has BNC then it's either analog or HD analog Can you give model of dvr and cams. -
Hi. Did you scan the QR code on setup ?? This will have done your P2P settings for you. Where are you based ...... Xmeye server is in China but there are apps that are Xmeye country locked and connects to server I. Your country ...... Also 3rd party apps If you re load your app setting from recorder ....... Menu then go to guide and follow the registration and click the cloud before you scan the QR code ..... You can then log on from your PC and see your connection history

Dahua IP cam shuts down and turns on automaticaly
tomcctv replied to jimi258963's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yes I know Henry...... He has just started learning HD . With your camera doing in at dusk till dawn (6.30pm -8.00am) Is a sign of power problem. You don't need power cable if using Poe ...... But if your asking can you plug camera on power lead and othe camera on Poe into recorder then yes. Does your NVR have Poe ? -
Connecting KPD674ZB H.264 4Ch to Samsung Smart TV
tomcctv replied to asta's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. Nice part of the country. I would look for the qvis Quattro 4 way recorder. With hard drive you should be paying £150. If you use Apple devices or android in your home you will not have to run cables to your tv as you can send dvr image to Samsung smart tv This unit will take your existing cameras but will also allow you to upgrade them later to 2mp which start from around £35 which like the recorder are multi format. -

Hi. How many cameras are on the power supply and what size is it. You can try buying a POE injector and testing your problem camera with that.
