Floureon 7" IP Dome PTZ Not working at Night
tomcctv replied to jerry007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Power cable you are using is too small. I would run 0.75 cable and use a 5amp 12v power supply for 50ft -

Floureon 7" IP Dome PTZ Not working at Night
tomcctv replied to jerry007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Your post is confusing You have a link to a IP PTZ ......... But you talk about BNC cable you also say about AHD cameras. Does your recorder accept IP cameras ? BNC cable ...... Are you just using the power side of the pre made BNC cables you get with kit systems ? What make is your recorder? How far is your PTZ from recorder and what type of Poe did you use -

Green topbar, Rainbow effect, Panasonic CW964E & WJ-HD316A
tomcctv replied to thaulow's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Have you had them working before ? Have you changed dvr ? Looks like you have two problems ....... Cameras are 11 years old and you are running on the wrong ratio monitor. Go to dvr and under that camera number in des play settings set it to D1 not 960h Also look at region and see if set for PAL or NTCS. -
Another thing is the software can’t tell you the performance of a camera Using dome cameras will be a big mistake. You came on asking for advice and your getting the run around over design software for a home Again like in another post the software is having cameras away from the house and only at garden Software is wrong for 8mp which is over kill It says nothing of IR Says nothing of the recording device (which is important) I would stop wasting time on software and look into products Start by changing from dome to turret cameras

One thing you forget other than bad guys........ sorry but your design is crap all about sales. So your design software does not see entrances windows or other entrances as a problem area. Let’s take away you gun happy threats and get into the real world .... like scum looking in windows or trying doors. Cameras should be used to see entrance points into a home no point spending money on a system to have cameras pointing into garden area ...... evidence collection is more important

Hi. What country are you in that states 30 days recording .... are you a home or business? You are only D1 so if your looking at lowering recorder settings to allow more hard drive space then you recordings will be useless Look at putting bigger hard drives
-
Hi. There is nothing you can do Motion direct from camera view is none controllable.......... If your recorder has alarm inputs you could use a PIR for detection

Has anyone every purchased or used Backstreet Survellance?
tomcctv replied to Travelerusa40's topic in Security Cameras
You have it the wrong way around backstreet is the low end he just rebades cameras and recorders the others manufacture. -
Why does his demos show 90% dahua ....... and then put same equipment down with lorex name .... guy has no clue. Guy lives in a dream world if he thinks he is better than flir. Just because he sticks a badge on cameras and recorders does not mean he manufactures them. Better than flir yet he manufactures nothing and sells dahua

Lagless Live View Camera/System For CNC Machines
tomcctv replied to eric9547's topic in System Design
Hi. I would go CVI cameras with cvi / analog dvr so you can still use your old cameras as well .. for cnc machine look for motorised lens. Since you might have different size objects in your cnc that will allow you to control focus and zoom from the recorder. -
Advise please on inserting cable in to the house.
tomcctv replied to Lavender90's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. I would remove drain down pipe and drill hole that way you won’t see cables once drain pipe is re fitted. I would not do to much reading ...... I don’t see why anyone would think there is a problem drilling cold siding....... drill bit will generate heat as soon as you start to drill -

Which software for Dahua, VDtech, Vantech and Hikvision
tomcctv replied to damien3320's topic in General Digital Discussion
Old analog is not used anymore and 100% old analog is not sold by hikvision. Tvi and cvi is HD analog and needs cvi or tvi recorder to be able to work -

Flir DND13TL2 camera unable to be properly detected by FLIR
tomcctv replied to Digital Dave's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Have you changed your cameras from mjpeg to h264 ...... you need to change settings on camera. That nvr does not support anything other than h264-h265 -
Hi. The problem with remote clients is there nothing like the on screen display. If you can get a cat5 from loft to a tv in bedroom then you can transmit your HDMI to that for £10 For internet connection I would use netgear Ethernet over power for £24

You must think people are stupid

Hi. Nothing you have listed is comparable with each other Why are you not buying from the uk

Which software for Dahua, VDtech, Vantech and Hikvision
tomcctv replied to damien3320's topic in General Digital Discussion
But as far as i can see DVR from Hikvision for example DS-7116HQHI-K1 does have TVI support. So i don't know why you said otherwise ? Hi in your first post .... changing recorders is not an option you said. I read it as getting more hikvision cameras .... which would be tvi since hik dropped analog ..... and your existing dvr will not run tvi
