Best simple motion activated license plate capture solution?
tomcctv replied to mirak's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. Please take your time to do homework ..... the link you posted will just be a waste of $600. Also even tho it sounds like a good idea having cameras at entrance what it captures may not be what you think. Police may not do anything with just a number plate. So again $600 wasted x 4 that’s $2400. Also Motion activation is also a bad idea for LPNR .... by the time it switches on car has gone past view. $2400 would be better spent on IP cameras on homes looking out onto road or directed towards homes.... and each camera going back to 1 nvr -
Is there a DVR that can replay the last couple minutes
tomcctv replied to totojones's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Made in the flir factory. Yes they have a factory. Licences to use some of dahua software along with there own add ons........ Thermal/ ANPR/ face detection/ licence plate management...... None of which your 5star does Listen Nathan you talk so much crap. So pros don't install flir ..... See you know nothing of the industry. You use LTS .......the DIY system ...... 4stars........ Can I say you lost all credibility yesterday when you said your a aurtherised hikvision distributor..........that did it for me it only took 1 phone call to find the truth. So Nathan let's start again ........ Forget about coming on here to tell members what is good and bad about a company you know nothing about.........don't push your $75 an hour service And just be part of the forum members....... Here to help each other -

Who sells lorex. ??? Don’t guess at everything Does lorex sell flir at Costco .... no it’s diy market lorex at Costco. You swap out 10 a month for LTS and call yourself a pro. You are new to this industry..... and it shows You need to understand products. Yes you are right flir bought lorex a few years ago.... we talked about it in the forum And we also talked about flir buying a stake of dahua... to use there tech last year... OEM is we’re people just rebadged or rename home screen that is not what lorex has done -
Being an authorised hikvision distributor .... then you should know pt cloud is a new name for a company hik dropped using It’s China based and goes under a number of names. Basically it is for the gray market systems

New on the forum and wondering about hacked DVR
tomcctv replied to goldenball1's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Are you using a ddns service and how was it setup. Lorex run through flir services but if that was not done on setup then it’s not protected. But hacked...... it is not as simple as just changing passwords ... once hacked it’s the IP address that keeps the gate open. Change ports and all passwords and also the static ip. To make lorex even more secure ..... under network log only allow authorised users and IP and click block un authorised But I would setup via flir services ...... p2p handshake is via flits own server. (Not dahua) and US dased You need to wipe router of any existing recorder networkings and start again -

Is there a DVR that can replay the last couple minutes
tomcctv replied to totojones's topic in Digital Video Recorders
You are full of crap..... you don’t even know who holds lorex licence 1000 systems that makes you a novis Hik is far from being pro recorders ....... you talk with any experienced install company and they would not touch hik recorders. A major US company have just found out to there cost the hard way $16m worth And I dought you get hik support letters..... 2 days ago hik announced another security problem It is far from pro ..... it’s also bad for the domestic end -
One only runs companion Are you also buying cameras ?

tomcctv replied to tacon's topic in Computers/Networking
Again do not self promote....... people in the forum will do it for nothing. And don’t trust a 3rd party DDNS -

Anywhere else in the world that would be called a prison
-
Hi. I would remove XMEye from your pc and and just use your recorders local IP address in your browser and just follow the instructions. You could also use smart pss but you need to change ports. As far as remote viewing I will PM you a better app which works and is better than xmeye
