Swann NVR8-7085 - Camera quality
tomcctv replied to ndr01's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Are you based in the UK ..... And what type of business is it. Please don't listen to Swann ..... You can't have software to change NVR from 720 to 1080. Making a 1080 NVR that when sold is only 720 makes no sence at all. If it could be 1080 they would sell at 1080. If you are a licensed premises then that Swann is no good for you -

Hi. We're are you based ? You will find it hard to get a good brand with warranty or uk based with your budget but you don't need to buy all at once Going IP you could buy the NVR and 2 cameras and add to it as budget allows -

Hi no the stock is not in the uk .... you are buying from China sellers. One of your listings tells you that (sent from China) The other .... there is no place in the uk he says it's from. But look at there other listings... gives it away there from China. With having a small budget I thoughts I would help you not waste it buying from chine....... especially the ones that try to make out there in the uk ....... which is a clue to how they will treat you if you have problems ..... there first lie is UK based. But good luck buying from your links -
Hi which app are you using

tomcctv replied to whiteeagle2017's topic in Security Cameras
Hi £150 is a bit low ........ Ok your links are in budget but any problems and you have to deal with China sales plus one did not have a hard drive. Found this on eBay . You might be lucky with your budget.... If you win it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CCTV-DAHUA-DVR-WITH-LEADS-PLUS-FOUR-QVIS-CAMERAS-/332311675010?hash=item4d5f51c082:g:NBIAAOSwBw1ZcIS4 -

BYO BlueIris Hybrid PC
tomcctv replied to ajdudley's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi. 10k is a big budget so it would be nice to try and get that down to half that. First is your CCTV guy has recommended something not used anymore which is a hybrid IP / analog capture ..... Please don't go that way as analog cameras are old now. But I understand you already have 11 analog and don't want to swap unless there broken. Blue iris also has licence fees .... Is that something you want to be bothered with. Also what type of business do you have ..... Low or high value ?? Also plays a part in the type of system. I/o alarm monitoring would not be available with blue iris. Also a home built PC may not be as reliable with having updates. I would look at a tribrid unit ....... Gives you the option to use any camera on the market and have no licence fees at all. This way you can use your new axis and your existing analog and give you the option to change each analog when ever you like to CVI 2mp which are direct replacement cameras for you already installed camera cables. You know the price of your axis .... CVI cameras are around $60 So $660 would replace all 11 cameras to 2mp CVI. Then cost of recorder ...... So you can see $10k is too high. I recommend this as a recorder. http://www.dahuasecurity.com/en/us/pro_details.php?pid=6598 -
Xinray Shenzhen china review *** Buyer Beware *** Warning **

Yes, there are good Chinese companies that will honor warranties. But do they pay for returm shipping if something is wrong with it? I did have to return a camera to China, and the cheapest shipping I found at the time was $33, and this was with a no tracking option. Will titythink pay for return shipping? Sorry for delay response as I was outside for work. Anyway, you really asked an important question and I appreciate that. But before I give you any answer I want to make a confirmation so I sent a message to TITATHINK Team. Within 2days I will get their confirmation. Then I will let you know. Until then please have a patience Getting fibbed off already that's a good start.

tomcctv replied to larryplum's topic in General Digital Discussion
You haven't listened to anything. You don't even reply to answers I asked why 16mp for 10m ...... you did not like the answer I explained Pre and post ....... your not happy about the answer I explained camer snap is not going to work for licence plates I explained motion on that cam will not work I explained 2 or 4mp cctv cameras are cheaper than that crap I'm sorry you don't like my answer to the cam link you posted but I stand by it. And I stand by my first post .... don't buy more crap. All you have done is try and justify the camera link You don't need 16mp (spec says 4K) which is not true Your only talking 10m (30ft) But again it's your money go and buy them....... not much more can be said in this post if you don't like to listen -

Action cam / similar for stills security
tomcctv replied to larryplum's topic in General Digital Discussion
Your right because you can't answer basic questions Motion detect a licence plate and only take a picture ...... You can't do. But you don't like that answer Motion on a standard camera is problematic in its self .... And you think cheap China sports cam can I will also point out .... A 4mp cam is cheaper and gives you video and is more than you need for 10 meters ...... But hay its your money your wasting Don't understand why you joined here -
Can an outdoor ptz work with no lan cable? (So SD and/orWIFI
tomcctv replied to RandomGrin's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. You still need to get power to your camera To run either is the same ...... LAN would also have power (Poe) It is never a good idea to buy no name PTZ cameras ....unlike standard cameras PTZ do a lot of work and need replacement parts now and again -
