Hi. I would say use a hybrid recorder. Cvi unit will also do analog which would also be good for capturing comp screen. As far as safe open alerts ..... All you need is a recorder with alarm inputs and use contractors on the doors.

Both hik and dahua have changed there systems for China copy and gray market. They will not work with gen dahua with there new security in place. China might be cheap ....... But no warranty no back up ..... No software updates ....... So that's a waste of money Just a quick search.......... And none are dahua

With your unit booting every few minutes means you must of done a firmware update before your problems started......otherwise your unit would not run without booting before you could change the firmware.
