How to upgrade Onvif ip camera
tomcctv replied to jordanthomson's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi 3rd party apps might not even have admin control..... why not use the viper app You also need to disable time stamp on the cameras and only use nvr time stamp. But to do that you will need to connect your camera direct to your router so you can have access to its menu..... you will need to get yourself a cheap Poe injector as your camera is powered by the nvr. Injector allows you to power cam without nvr. That's the problem with plug and play installers they don't take there time to do the settings needed to complete the install. I would personally install a netgear Poe switch from pc world for £38 .... to run your cameras before they go to your nvr. This then gives you full management control and allows you to update cameras firmware (you can't if direct to nvr) -

Hi. How are your cameras connected.... direct to nvr or switch or router first Did you install or someone else -
Hi. Used ic realtime for years ........ And support is good .... However........ They are licence holders for dahua software and for many years have improved on it themselves mid to high range units stand out from other licence holders with better apps and add on components....... All there systems intergrate with Paxton security equipment For basic CCTV use lorex but from commercial use ic realtime pro equipment .

Ok waste your money $29 for power strip vs $19 for power supply with right amps http://m.ebay.com/itm/9CH-DC12V-10A-Power-Supply-Distribution-Box-CCTV-Security-Surveillance-Camera-/201274019804?hash=item2edcddcfdc%3Ag%3APZIAAOSwAL9Ui%7E0C&_trkparms=pageci%253Ab7ee6fad-67a9-11e7-8cb1-74dbd18026c7%257Cparentrq%253A3b2d940715d0ab64b899bae7ffe64c95%257Ciid%253A1

Hi. In the discription it says power supply supplied with camera 8 cameras = 8 power supplies. Your asking for 1 power supply with 8 pig tails .... the one on there site ? That power supply will not run your system it's only 2amp And it is never a good idea to use pigtail power supplies....... 1 faulty camera will switch off the other 7 If your not happy with the individual power supplies then buy a central power unit 8 way 10amp individual fused

I have some setting on the camera that can be adjusted. Maybe an adjustment is needed. Look forward to getting more info on it.. Thanks! Hi 51cent has it right .... I would also say drop your Fps down as well. But you may not find a in between setting for your view as technically your image is two views (dark top light bottom) I would look at setting your camera back to auto and then use a sensor on your light and have that set for just your drive way and that will again turn your camera colour but also past your drive way it will be BW when drive way sensor is not activated

Can I access my PTZ camera without logging in to my NVR?
tomcctv replied to howuduin's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Hi. You will need to run your PTZ to a switch or router first before it goes to NVR This allows your PTZ to be accessed on its own ....... With it being a IP cam it will have its own view software -

Hi. I would say use a hybrid recorder. Cvi unit will also do analog which would also be good for capturing comp screen. As far as safe open alerts ..... All you need is a recorder with alarm inputs and use contractors on the doors.

Dahua NVR Reboots (Reset Flag 0x6)
tomcctv replied to shlomishm's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Thank you, Tom for replying. I asked the seller to send me a FW that match to my country, I hope I'll get it soon. But... I don't understand... Why the region should bother me anyway? The menus are fully supporting English and the I'm able to configure my timezone. What am I missing? Thanks, Shlomi So where did you get the first FW ? FW needs to match the software on your system ..... Wrong FW is none reversible........ We're are you based -
Both hik and dahua have changed there systems for China copy and gray market. They will not work with gen dahua with there new security in place. China might be cheap ....... But no warranty no back up ..... No software updates ....... So that's a waste of money Just a quick search.......... And none are dahua

Dahua NVR Reboots (Reset Flag 0x6)
tomcctv replied to shlomishm's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Ox6 is wrong region firmware. With your unit booting every few minutes means you must of done a firmware update before your problems started......otherwise your unit would not run without booting before you could change the firmware. Aliexpress is your best to talk with if seller is not responding Dahua will not help direct. -
Thanks for understanding. I guess my next purchase will be a full decked out Lorex 4K System thanks for the help guys! Anyways what about the Q See 4K Cameras? Hi. Qsee 4K are also dahua ... however lorex are newer models and you get more software options
-
Hi lorex is the dahua system .... buying from China will give you a headache
-
Hi. By the time you add a 2tb hard drive you are looking at $1000 Pointless buying with only a 500 HDrive Also I would not class that dvr as a hybrid .......most hybrid units now support 960h - TVI - CVI-AHD and IP and can be found from $400 and above for 16 way. https://www.lorextechnology.com/security-dvr-and-surveillance-dvr/16-channel-hd-digital-video-recorder/DV7163-1-p This is the dahua .... And will work with your existing cameras till you have a budget to replace existing cameras
