Small IP-camera setup, problems with smooth stream.
tomcctv replied to JohnDoe51's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi that's the joy of wireless That d link can't be sold in many countries because if it's wireless band. Best if you can put a cable to your cameras if that is not possible then use power line adapters -
Hi what app are you using
-
Hi. Is this the maplins kit ??? To test the hard drive ......... Remove it from your recorder and see if it starts up without the problem. It could also be the units power supply ...... To test power supply .... Use the one that powers your cameras to see if the unit stops booting

Three DVR's with two switches in local network?
tomcctv replied to bubo's topic in Computers/Networking
Hi. How many IP cameras are you thinking of using ??? Max with your equipment is 8 in total. So if you wanted to fill all 24 channels you would still need to buy a better NVR Your IP camera link ...... They may also not work with your current DVRs The part I am finding hard is you already have 2.2 MP cameras and you want to swap out for 2mp ........ And then have extra costs for switch and power supply and also cable change -
Three DVR's with two switches in local network?
tomcctv replied to bubo's topic in Computers/Networking
The DVR has only 4 fysical connections but it can handle more IP based cameras at the same time. Hi ... no only 2 ip cameras and that is with having to lower frame rate. The ip link you have posted will not work with your dvr...... as in will not connect to 3rd party. But if you think changing cameras and cable to go ip is cheaper than changing the dvr out . You already have 2mp -

Hi. Your best option is to spend money on replacing dvr. You will only be wasting money adding IP to a cheap dvr Your camera link is to 4 in1 camera modules which supports CVI so just buy a 32 way or 2 16 way cvi hybrid DVRs. No switches needed -
No such thing ..... you will need a new dvr
-
Hi. No you can't You would have to change your analog dvr to a HD analog And I would look at cvi rarther than AHD

tomcctv replied to RIPE's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Ok ..... one of your HDD is faulty....... led lights tells me that . Also you can't format the HD and then install to dvr. Dvr must do the formatting I would start by installing one new HD .... new direct into dvr and see how that runs You should only have 1 green led on permanent -
