Lorex Model NR9326 "Cannot find the network host"
tomcctv replied to stevenjgarner's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Why are you looking at router ? It's plug and play upto 16 cameras . Switch off NVR ..... remove local network .... connect your 16 cameras and switch on and leave for 20 mins.... Have you done that ? -
Or just connect a pir sensor to your dvr alarm inputs And use a dog bark unit Best to always keep things simple

Server CPU constantly at 100%
tomcctv replied to jrothwell's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Can you fit a 4mp tvi or 8mp tvi or tvi3 to a standard tvi dvr ....... no...... need to swap all cameras and dvr to upgrade. I would use cvi over tvi any day. Unlike tvi everything done at dvr end...... ip and cvi are done at camera end. So can mix mp and upgrade as cameras get better without a new dvr expense How many tvi down 1 coax? Cvi 8 down one coax. -
Hi. There are lots on Amazon......... But we have alway had luck with both dahua and VCL PTZs by just taking old belts to either your local model boat/plane shop Also a local bearing stockists
-
Hi. For 4 camera system £500 is a good budget. You have a few options either ip or cvi tvi I would go dahua if in the uk .... 8mp cvi is out now.. Also look for qvis system

mouse and keyboard not detected in my dvr
tomcctv replied to freeidea's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. You will have to post a link of picture for your dvr. You can't just have 1 USB port ...... You need at least two. 1 for mouse control 1 for backup footage. You also say it happends with your keyboard.......which makes your post even more confusing Airspace also made PC based video mixer ...... Are you using that for your cameras. -
Which free DDNS service. Need help finding one.
tomcctv replied to Blake101's topic in Computers/Networking
Hiddns was never hiks in house the same with ezviz....... Both 3rd party China owned ddns services No the is no charge for hik-connect. Any old hiddns units will still connect to hiddns but later on this year if the old units don't take the new firmware either dvr- NVR or IP camera they will not connect to the new hik-connect -

tomcctv replied to Blake101's topic in Computers/Networking
If your DVRs have a drop down option for hiddns then you are buying old stock It should say hik-connect Hik have done away with hiddns back in February Hik-connect is operated on Amazon servers Hiddns is owned by HICHINA ZHICHENG TECHNOLOGY a hichina company and the problem hik had with malware -

tomcctv replied to Blake101's topic in Computers/Networking
Ezviz and hiddns are both 3rd party ...... Not owned by hik Ezviz has always been bad. Yes you can use hiddns for gray market ...... But not for the new hik cameras -
Hi. Your existing cameras will work with most vms. Your a hotel so please don't look at domestic systems. It needs to be reliable. Also CCTV in a hotel can loose you customers. Keep your system discrete.........don't have monitors on public display. LPR is something you are also interested in ......... And it is useful for hotel car parking I would look at avigilon system ........ It will run with your existing cameras and I would also look at using avigilon golfball cameras for your walkways ..... Small and discrete Also look at the add ons that are good for hotels . You have a good budget so buy something reliable and has years of support for your money.

tomcctv replied to Blake101's topic in Computers/Networking
Hi. HiDDNS is not hiks and is no longer supported. Not worth the problems. Look first at you ISP for a static IP ...... Which is the best way. -
Hi. No point in promoting to every new member in introduction section...... Ops move on to the thread pages. See you have changed your company name since you was last on
