Hi. You don't have a hikvision it's a copy and will not connect to hik-connect Sending back is a option but will cost you. Did you save money buying cheap copy........
-
Hi. It is too old ...... Your friend replaced it for that reason. Last Windows support was xp and you also need a file player. Change recorder and use the cameras ..... No point wasting time on it.
-
Hi. That is not a budget ..... ptz cameras are already housed..... making a housing is just a waste of time and money Using a pic points to you using a ip camera. Budget is too small

tomcctv replied to Jota's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. You can't turn old into new with firmware. You can't use hik-connect with that recorder. It will be easier for you to setup with an other DDNS service. -

tomcctv replied to scgh's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. You need to switch off Dmz on your router never leave that open. Go to network on your recorder and find its local IP And add that to the iPhone app Did you first set up your system with the p2p .... Barcode -
Hik have done away with hiddns...... Gray market and copy units could connect with it........if you Re registered before Feb 2017 with real hik to hik-connect then it would be fine as long as firmware update is done as well ........and you can't put the new firmware on copy or OEM eBay and the likes are now full of hik that will no longer take updates. Amazon are now in control of hik-connect DDNS services
-
Hi your DDNS is linked to Eircom Limited So that's ok. I will pm you a new DDNS .... Can't post it on here but you will understand were t is from
-
Is the botnet or virus or whatever on my dvr or is it in the ddns? You don't have botnet...... it will be something from your ddns and since it was setup by someone else there could be others on the same account
-
Pm me the dns settings. I just want to see what type It's going to be deleted anyway as I will give you a free secure ddns that only you will have control

external dvd writer advice needed
tomcctv replied to BrightSparks's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. It would be better just to match and replace the old one. -
Hi no you don't need a new dvr .... you also don't have a static ip from your internet provider First thing you need to do is remove your ddns account Did you set up the ddns or someone else ? Who is your internet with ?
-
Hi. Why use a ddns if you have a static Bots don't re wright. What ports are open on your router
-
Hi. It is very unlikely as the 5 year old does not have p2p... it was manual setup. Also black listed ip does not point to your isp. That still changes ... it's the ddns service that gives and holds your ip. Who is your internet with ?
-
One that does not get sick

Yes your unit should startup ... a bad hard drive can stop it. And it does no harm removing it -
