audio recording problems with Dowson DVR
tomcctv replied to dakotmar's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. I would look at changing your dvr. Looking at some of the warnings given............dvr will reset if over worked I think that means it does not work As for support ...... Well checks should of been made before it was. bought. Dowson.com dowsonuse.com Both only have either aol or gmail email addresses and all contact numbers are cell phones........ And there best selling product is a kids paddle pools. Simple IP check can save a lot of money. What happends if you remove 2 cameras and only use 1 microphone?? -

tomcctv replied to imcool's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yes, I am going to send it back, but which to buy next time? which IP camera allows access from LOCAL IP and network? Regards Hi. Personally I would go dahua. The reason being all software or apps have been available for 8 years analog IP cvi tvi all use the same viewing software Look at lorex/flir systems -
CLOVER POS / NVR intergration
tomcctv replied to jamielong's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. More info is needed. Inter grating clover with which system -
Hi. No that will not work. .... you need 960h camera ...... That is the maximum you can have without using a mini NVR For a simple camera swap you need 960h golfball type cameras. Your monitor resolution does not matter .....and you don't match cameras to it. Analog (which is your system) 960h is the best for your needs

hikvision ezviz hacked...
tomcctv replied to teknologs's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi new hik don't have telnet access. Why use ezviz ?? Why put your cameras out to 3rd party. -
Yes that can be done ...... But for one camera why setup a Poe switch and wireless router the cost alone is not worth it when he can just local power the camera

I have made a mistake, please help me - IP camera problem
tomcctv replied to imcool's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. If you cam send it back Buy a system you own ..... Own your own footage .... Have control on what you want to do with it -
Hi. You can't have something that does not exist. Like I said in other post POE = power over eithernet....... Eithernet being you cat6. But there are simple ways to get your camera feed from your garage .... Network over power. But you will need to give more info about your install .... How far is garage from house .... Does it use same power box .... How many cameras
-
Hi. Yes it is audio But audio is normally not a problem on a domestic house. Don't get confused about public space audio. As far as there camera looking into your bedroom that alone should be a police complaint. But two cheap IR flood lights and put them inside your bedroom window.... They show no light but will blind his camera at night.

Hi. Your monitor can only rotate analog cameras. If that is all you need look for 960h cameras
-
Hi. You can use turret 960h cameras ..... Give you a much better image than what you have listed. Or you can go higher resolution with cvi cameras but you will need a mini dvr to accept the digital signal The dvr will also give you the option to rotate the camera image ( you need this if using as a reverse camera)
-
Hi. Did you let the dvr format the drive ?
-
Hi. If you are using two cameras I would connect one to the yellow RCA on the monitor and the other camera to the BNC input....... You will need a RCA to BNC connector. This will then make it easy to switch cameras by selecting input source Then see how your image is.
-
The unit you are trying to connect .... Have you been able to connect in the past or is this your first time. What avtech is the problem one ...... And which model are the other two
-
Hi. Have you tried the basic eagle eye app ?
-
Hi. Don't trust everything that says ONVIF. What make and size are your cameras ?? You mini is only 720p max £139 ($115). That is expensive for only 720p. Then cost of storage.
-
Hi. Which app are you using ?? This is a old system and Samsung don't update apps it is one of samsungs problems. Also the problem is spending time on a CIF system .... In the uk it would not be used if you had any problems
-
.. Hi can you list your products. ...... Your post is confusing Coax .... Poe....wifi poe..... IP From what I can make out you have rg6 cable ..... But you want a feed to IP camera Wifi poe........... Does not exist. POE is power over eithernet (cable)

Lorex MCNB3153 WIRING DIAGRAM
tomcctv replied to SKYNAD's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Tom.... you are a nightmare at every turn! This isn't about being cheap. As I have said in another thread.... Leave me alone, Tom! . . . Listen it's a reply to a post .......... If price is not a problem get the cvi 2 chan encoder ... There is nothing wrong in this post .... its advice Yet you get upset ....... and upset over nothing. Read the post again ... read it slow ...... even get a friend to help you with the long words ...... and you might start to understand. But if your brain can't work out ITS Better to get another ip camera instead of paying a lot of money for a cvi converter. -

Hi. I will pm you a new manual for PSS .... It takes a bit of learning but it's worth it.
-
Hi. I just send a new manual and PC software to your pm. The smart search does not need to have any motion setup ..... So if you go into recording method and pic manual ........ Smart search will work a lot better. If you have a camera looking at your front door ...... Go to blayback screen in the morning click rum man highlight your door only then press run man again ...it will show everything that happens at your front door. I don't understand why Q-see have left that from the manual. Let me know if you have any problems with the PSS PC software.
