Ddns is safer than P2P
-
Hi who is your ISP Also look at using a ddns account instead of p2p
-
Hi. You don't need p2p for local connection Either use 192.168.0.111:37777 PSS or smart PSS
-
Hi. If you are just buying the dvr at the moment do you already have cameras . Dahua or qvis is your price range
-
D1 units not worth repair. Can buy cheap analog replacements plus no support.
-
Would that be a dvr ..nvr... hybrid .. tvi or cvi Be much easier if you state the unit you are repairing

tomcctv replied to CZYXCZZ's topic in Digital Video Recorders

Hi. Recordings won't work and cameras don't ......... But you can get into menu of recorder. Then I would say your cameras power supply has gone -

New Dahua NVR/IP Install
tomcctv replied to chrisgtl's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Do you have a monitor on the dvr ?? Any settings to the camera IE brightness....... Needs the camera to reboot ...... So it's not a lockup But moving mouse to top left of a camera view give you quick access to camera settings -
Yes you can't run both on same device Did you check your log
-
When you get the red circle you should drag the page down. But another thing is you are locked into a 3rd party cloud Go to menu on recorder then network then go to log See if you have something like this listed Ipmxeye 34 listed

SSM How to view 128pcs camera in One Monitor?
tomcctv replied to junjunshamei's topic in Computers/Networking
1 monitor all you need is one of these or pay $10.000 and get a panosonic 260in tv -
Hi. More illumination would not give you anymore information than what you all ready have. Even your daytime give not much info except there are cars parked there .... Would not pick up face or licence plate. Does not look like a scoop. The suv was driven .... Lights on driving backwards. I would guess a finance repo done with keys....... Why be able to drive the suv and only load onto a flatbed that's not a normal car theft. Does your town or city have a camera system ?? I would ask them to look at time and date of flatbed passing them.

Camera installation issue in HikVision Setup
tomcctv replied to Zebedee6's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. I posted last week that this is going to be a problem that will fill this site soon. If you have two new cameras that asks for a password before you can do anything with them ..... Is a good thing as this means you have the new range of hik cameras ....... But your NVR will need to have a firmware update for you to have full control. But your problem might also take out some of your other cameras if they are hik gray market. Also you can't flash old hik cameras with the new firmware. Just sent you by pm firmware and help on setup ... Click on downloads -
Differenc between Surveillance n Digital Recorder DVR
tomcctv replied to ishfady's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
That was a quick 20 minutes .... From thinking to buying. As far as cameras .... Same as you installed on your 16 way a few weeks ago. But you can't use the name KKMOON with HD dome and high resolution in the same sentence KKMOON 960h is cheap analog junk ....... You should be looking at either cvi tvi or even IP systems -
DVR failure after power disconnect. Ini,format, other ideas?
tomcctv replied to CZYXCZZ's topic in Digital Video Recorders
You have not said what your problem is If you are worried about the red light ... That could just be something as simple as setting your motion or alarm ... As the power cut could of reset it. But you also say cameras don't display ...... So you rebooted ..... What you have not said after that is if your cameras came back on or not ..... You just went back to your red light problem. -
Which CCTV systems are most easy to hack?
tomcctv replied to annoyednow's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. It's not the system it is bad security network P2P is never a good thing just like going out to cloud .... And cheap no name China systems are offering this more and more. If we asked you to post your IP address on here .....so as we can scan your network ... Your answer would be no. (I hope) But that is exactly what p2p and cloud does .... And people don't think anything about it. There are save p2p and cloud but not on cheap systems ..... There is even private cloud owned by you which leaves your recorder or cameras on local network and allows you to view on wan .... But it's your setup your port forwarding your passwords and the ability to only respond to the IP of the device you use to remote view. Setting up your network can be over the head of some people so they go for p2p or cloud for the simple setup But to make secure its best to learn network or ask other family members if they can or know of someone who can -
Hi john are you talking IP or analog systems
