Completely Stumped with PTZ controller
tomcctv replied to Ares_MtOlympus's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi no you just plug it into same network as camera. But your camera is discontinued. But still a very good camera the problem is you are going to spend more on the controller than you paid for your camera. You will find it cheaper to use a iPad with stylus and load the camera and just move stylus over screen to move the PTZ -
+1 How are you doing your search and motion detect. It's on all dahua software so has to be there.

Hi. Remover the rs 485 from the back of NVR and you will see you still have control. They are both OEM dahua so no setup was needed. -
Give feedback, new VideoAnalytics/IntruderDetection service
tomcctv replied to nats_sw's topic in General Digital Discussion
Wow a so called computer programmer that knows nothing of Internet security. I will leave Internet security till the end of this post but nats_sw will not thank you for it as it's going to be his IP I will use If you think it's outdated then you have a problem You also talk about P2P ?? And that is also clear you have no clue about it. But YOU AND NATS_SW. want to charge a lot of money for your new sales adventure that is pointless you are both doing your sales pitch yet neither of you have CCTV background Listen idiot I only post what I read and THAT IS WHAT HE CALLS HIS OTHER CAM. -
Give feedback, new VideoAnalytics/IntruderDetection service
tomcctv replied to nats_sw's topic in General Digital Discussion
So it's not just $10 a camera ..... It's also a big data cost as well if on plan? Just this month the security industry is looking at getting people back to secure networks. And here is another GIVE 3Rd party network details and also pay what could be anything from $10 to 100s a month so back to my second post ........ Why do people need this ??? It is pointless for the domestic market and for the commercial high risk market there is much better. And the company behind this ... Need to sit down and have a think ... If there taking full streaming from a HD camera 24/7 and the setup there going to have to use from all brands -
Ok OEM dahua Dahua tech apps IC realtime Lorex flir All will work with your system idmss HD is a good app
-
Hi that all depends on which system you are using. All apps are different and don't work with other systems
-
You could buy your own cat5 that makes it cheaper You could also buy the kit and add to it as budget allows. Or buy your listed system that's out of date and waste your full budget
-
Why does it cost more than whole system ? Look for anything lorex or dahua

2 analogue cams plus audio over CAT5 with POE and no power
tomcctv replied to allstates's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. None of above will work you are talking analog and POE ..... Both have nothing to do with each other Then your power supply is too small to do what you need. You are best using cat 5 to each camera with balun for video 1 pair for audio and the other 2 pair for power -
Hi. Tvi 720 is a bit old so no upgrading. This is a 4 cam IP system twice the res of the cameras you have listed plus you have no more expense as you don't need to pay for power supply .... This system is plug and play IP https://www.lorextechnology.com/hd-ip-security-camera-system/8-channel-hd-security-camera-system-with-ip-cameras/LNR341C4B-1-p

Give feedback, new VideoAnalytics/IntruderDetection service
tomcctv replied to nats_sw's topic in General Digital Discussion
So why pay extra $5 if $10 is self learning ?? The YouTube video is only 2 days old so I will guess it's new ..... I like the camera on the beach so there call it beach watch Also the name ..... That is owned and trade marked that has nothing to do with this product. So tell us how a customer with say a axis camera to connect to this server -
Give feedback, new VideoAnalytics/IntruderDetection service
tomcctv replied to nats_sw's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hikvision 2004 PC based first shown at ifec security show ... It is old .... Plus there are other videos on YouTube that are 3 - 5 8 years old ... Why the dog ... Op on here only a month ago was looking for something to see who's dog craps on his garden ... No good for that. False alarms .... Yes the lights on car ..... But at night it will pic out every car that goes past. Now keep an eye on the car in drive on your video .... How many cars does it detect from the reflection in the paint work .... I count 4. So basically as I said the $10 might give false alarms ... So pay us $15 Do people need to spend an extra $310 a year for 2 camera or $720 for 4 cam. When they have motion on there own system ? But my main problem with it is like I have always said giving 3rd party access to your network is never a good thing. -

Give feedback, new VideoAnalytics/IntruderDetection service
tomcctv replied to nats_sw's topic in General Digital Discussion
Have you seen the amount of false alarms just in the demo video ? Did you see the dog off its lead ?? No detection Night time it does not work ..... Look at car lights just at end of video .... Detected for no reason. This is old tech and is even standard on some DVRs $10 a month for false alarms does not last long .... And on top of that putting a stream out to a 3rd party A good motion detection the type you can set an area is just as good -
Give feedback, new VideoAnalytics/IntruderDetection service
tomcctv replied to nats_sw's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Far from being accurate....... This type of detection has been around for years..... And the question is the same .... Why .? People have recorders recording the same event .... So why pay $10 a month to have green red squares around objects. It does the same as motion detection ...... Take a look at the night time footage -
Any feedback on outdoor Nest Cam ? Or other recommendations?
tomcctv replied to corekkz1's topic in Security Cameras
Hi . I would leave hikvision alone otherwise you will be buying old stock. Look at dahua there recorders run all types of camera and tvi or cvi are very low price.... 2mp start at £25 - $30 And nest cameras can be added to recorders and also have a viewing app -

CCTV video has rolling rainbow lines
tomcctv replied to shawn6542's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi yes you need baluns at each end for all cameras How many pair are you using for video and power -
The answe to your question is yes ..... standard internet is the same world over... WWW And like I said pay as you go sim for mobile
-
Tesco data sim will work no problem .... Either pay as you go sim on a mobile or a mobile data unit for about £30 with data. Tesco has no roem data charges. 3 also does the same but you need to opt in to your data plan
-
Hi which network are you on now ?? And what part of Spain
