Question about running RH45 plugs
tomcctv replied to jmcgarva's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Who ever put in the last system can only be called a nut job and you are lucky it even worked. Take the pic with the single power out too 8pig tail ... Each cam say 0.5amp that's a total of 4amp from a single 1.5 output. Then there are no baluns that you need when using cat5. But the existing system is analog with dvr. To go POE you need to replace everything .... Dvr is replaced with a NVR with POE. A NVR can also be bought with out POE ...... But you are looking for plug and play so you need NVR with POE So look for NVR 4way Poe (4cam) or 8 Poe (8cam) or 16poe (16cam) Everything is the same as dvr as in control and use. But you will have to buy IP cameras with POE -
Hi. Wancam are cloud based so will not work with a ddns service Also having an old and new gives your problems as there cameras are not forward or backward compatable with viewing software (they need to be same cameras) You will need another 0041 to run 2 cameras. But I would not buy another .... I would get away from a China cloud service and as you have already bought 2 you have wasted money because of comparability problems Buy dahua or hikvision and be in control of the cameras YOU own

Installer will be throwing camera cables over roof
tomcctv replied to Ryder's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. No it's not the right way for doing it. It sounds like your installer is just using a DIY kit .... The cables are thin and should not be used. Plus you are talking about analog .... Look at IP system or at least cvi or tvi -

How to register web www.ys7.com for EZVIZ
tomcctv replied to nopp's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. You ignored your other post ?? Also did you read this thread from top to bottom ?? It never got connected. I would bin your $25 camera You are paying $25 to allow someone full access to your computers allowing them to collect bank info ... Contacts list ...your browsing history even allowing strangers to watch your internal camera. So ask yourself why you want a camera in the first place ?? Most say for security reasons ....... Yet you are giving away all your security from the start..... P2P sounds good and an easy network setup and is free which attracts customers ......... You get nothing for free THERE IS ALWAYS FREE CHEESE ON A MOUSE TRAP -
Hi. You would not get a very stable image with a CCTV camera on a 10ft pole held by hand. I would look at a 4K GoPro camera and fiber camera pole 4K video will give you very good video for your needs .. And will also allow you to view video with a large zoom in play back Hero5 black 4K http://shop.gopro.com/cameras/hero5-black/CHDHX-501-master.html With a 28ft Carbon fiber pole.
