CCTV System Advice for workplace -- Dowshu?
tomcctv replied to Exib's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. That is a name from the past not talked of dowshu on here for years. But if you have looked at dowshu you are looking at pro equipment .. And it does have problems I would also look at avigilon ... It is much better and cheaper. -
Is it worth maintaining or should I upgrade system?
tomcctv replied to bper's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. I would start by changing your recorder .... Yours is a q-see which is a dahua ... So I would look for there new multi system which you will find on flir lorex website. Then you can use your existing cameras and add as they go with new 1080 Standard analog are not worth it but if you look at the new all in one camera TVI CVI AHD 1080p 960h. Which are around $50 You can build a good system -
Hi. That camera is a p2p setup ....(on Chinese server) Also you will not get that to work on blue iris. $27 it is only a 5v webcam ....... Look at dahua hik or something that is worth buying

Netgear pro safe switch from $30
-
Umm....yes, thats why you disable the wifi for the price. I am sure you will find something wrong with that too though. Incase you dont know how to spell it is *difference* See you can't see why ...... basic networking netgear switch is cheap ..... Is that a problem for you
-
Because it never works it's junk and does not conform to any standards Look at netgear .... Go to a local store ...$5 more? http://www.ebay.com/itm/D-Link-DIR-815-600Mbps-Wireless-N-Dual-Band-4-Port-Router-N600-w-Firewall-/371320150053?hash=item567467d825:g:1uUAAOSwEeFVR7zw If you don't know the differance .... One is a switch the other is a router. And have you spotted why it's only $19

Unable to view cameras remotely on Android Phone
tomcctv replied to Hitesh.Kirtane's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Talk about a post being confused. You show a dvr screen You say you installed 2 hikvision Your network settings show your cams are IP You state on your network settings that port forwarding is set right ...... Which it can't be as both cameras have same IP You need to list your equipment and some screen shots -
Hi. You need to know the return policy if looking to send back. You can do a simple test to see if it's your problem . Cut some lengths of black electrical tape and cover the sunsheld with it ... Then see how your night view is
-
Hi. Since your system is already installed I would get some mat black paint and paint the sun shield
-
Hi shade should be black .... Not glossy or shine or white (marked in red An other thing you can do is put some black tape over the top IR light (marked in green) so as only 2are showing. And see what your image is like.

Grow up. It's a mistake to pull others down .... In your posts .... Well not posts it's more like reading war and peace but still with a lot of mistakes so your not that perfect. Dont really need your advice.....this guy came in here trashing proper advice with nonsense. Hes getting what he deserves...if I offend you, you are welcome to ignore my posts. The post was not directed to you .... Infact it does not have any of your quotes in it.

Totally wrong ... Nothing you listed has anything near the data load as say a 3mp camera. Your talking commercial .. This thread is about a home

Hi you don't need to retrieve the SD card it is part of the recording storage . All you need to do in plug your network cable into port 8 If your network cable is also Poe then that will also power the unit but if your cable is not Poe you still connect to port 8 but also power the unit via connection marked 10. That way it's on your network If you just power via plug 10 the system is a complete standalone

Looks like IR wipeout. You need to post a picture of your camera On your last link the camera shows that the sun shield is painted black buy the lens Is yours white or black ??? Hikvision cameras had this problem 3 years ago
-
Hi ideal for you is this https://ring.com
-
Whom are you referring to? just curios Says the guy who talks crap and comes out with this statement
-
This is simple to work out .... It's your wording WIFI CAMERAS. and I have said twice you are getting mixed up. There are wifi cameras on the market ... IE camera power and pick up its wifi signal ... Cheap nasty cameras. Are you talking about them or standard IP that at some stage you are going to have them wifi from a router

supplying police video in canada - reimbursement
tomcctv replied to markcsp's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. I don't think that would be of any help. In most cases for the police they want a few hours before any problems -
Hi did you watch the video You need nothing else small camera 1ch recorder all cables and fittings ...... Recorder takes SD card . The bonus is you have a network cable there as well allowing you to watch the room from anywere on PC or smartphone
-
Wifi can't be called a dedicated network But wifi cameras are usually cheap nasty short range and fail
-
Hi you will also need to list your type of camera
