Your first link is the best option and I have used 100s But I haven't used eBay China copy .... The price is cheap it might last years

Hi. It depends on which camera used All your listings are ac power so you will need to run DC and AC if your cameras are 12v DC so best with 24v Also if you need IR you will need external

Best DVR Software You Use?
tomcctv replied to Mr. Anonymous's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Image clarity is the same cvi or tvi... Both are 2mp .... Also cvi recorders also take tvi and IP and cheaper than tvi If going tvi then wait a month or so as new tvi3 is out ..... And you can't use old tvi on new tvi3 recorders -
Hi. Have you looked at the ring door camera You might find it is more suitable for a front door area. Also records and gives you instant video to your mobile devices The free cloud service is also a way to have off site recordings if your existing dvr is taken or fails at any point https://ring.com

Best DVR Software You Use?
tomcctv replied to Mr. Anonymous's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Cvi is realtime digital over coax and is also both ways .... One coax will take video audio and PTZ control and all camera function Tvi can't do that 4 down one cable ... Daisy chain with BNC Ts then run all 4 down one cable upto 1500m. ( can do 8 but not needed to do that yet) Good surgestion from ak347. Till you mentioned wireless. Bad idea -
Hi. It is self contained. If you want covert then smoke detector camera might not be any good the space you are talking about anything new in the room will be noticed Cheap self contained covert from China like smoke detectors or alarm PIR sensors are bad quality uRgwPKyPcMk

Best DVR Software You Use?
tomcctv replied to Mr. Anonymous's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You missed the part about my heavy local usage, that is the problem with this. I run a file server within my home I stream files from to other computers in my home. 2-4Mbps helps for an estimate....or is it mbps? This was also a thought if I did not want to run new cables to use IP cameras they have wireless IP cameras. However I already use 100% of my 802.11 N/AC when streaming files from my NAS to laptop (intermittently) so I was wondering if I could dedicate a router for cameras then feed it into my hardwired lan. This would avoid any camera traffic going through the router I use for my phone and laptop. Cvi tvi IP ... They are all good I like cvi better than tvi as everything is done at camera like IP. But you are right keep everything on its own cables (coax) IP on cat5 or 6 all back to a switch You said in another post you have 1000m runs that's a problem for IP you will need extenders to go that far Cvi or tvi will have no problems and even have 4 cameras down one coax -
Hi. Yes the camera is Poe .... It plugs direct into its recorder It is for wall or overhead or hide in something You only need a hole this big .. .

Best DVR Software You Use?

So what? you will be pulling may be total between 5-10 Mbps that nothing for your network What if I add IP cameras to the network? What kind of bandwidth do they draw? Again it would not be a problem .... Cameras will be on own local network -
Hi. For over 3 years when someone has posted a situation like yours I always recommend axis there is nothing else that can beat it. Built in storage to SD card or access from network .... Also the boss can watch via app from anywere The AXIS P1214 Network Camera

Why do you not listen That is not a router ..... I'll give you a clue .... How are you going to connect 4 IP cameras to it .... I'll tell you that you can't So again for what you want to do you need a router with wifi. None of your links will work together You need to build a simple local network for you to have control of your cameras and recordings ..... And it is simple to build
-
As a router not a power source That's to get onto Internet ?? Nothing to do with what you are asking. you need a router ...... Not for Internet .... But just to give you your local network ..... Wifi will be from router to your laptop or mobile while you are at the location
-
The camera links you posted need to be on a wifi router or switch Then you have a local wifi network to your cameras You can only access your cameras while on site (within the local network) Which is why I said you can't run on a power pack from somewhere like halfords. Is this site isolated ?

Why on earth does he need two ISP. Why not just use the one he has .......... It sounds like doing the same thing without the stupid extra cost
-
Having the NVR connected to a 4G connection that only serves for inspecting my home when I'm not around (ex. traveling) would be the best solution. Although it would be much better using the already available NAS for extra storage but the NAS is connected to the home network, putting me again at risk. Thank you all If you think that's the best info then there is no hope

You are getting mixed up with Internet and wifi. Your cameras need to be connected to a wifi router .... Then you will be using local wifi to connect to cameras. £100 sorry you can't do it for that. Are you overlooked at your area ? But to keep power down .... Look at Poe and use Poe switch
-
Ok what is your budget for each camera Power pack idea will not work for you unless you are there every day and night time it will run flat.
-
Hi. Sounds like a lot of expense which you will find to be only thing to be stolen I would look at GSM sim motion sensors and 1 or 2 trail cameras
-
Hi. A site with no internet ? A wifi network is local .... Wifi router IP cameras require a local network and then you would connect to local network with your app What type of site .... How big ... How many cameras
-
Your best option is to CONTACT another company If yaan.com don't pick up phones or email ... That should tell you it's another bad China company

Best DVR Software You Use?
tomcctv replied to Mr. Anonymous's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Why would you think going dvr will upset your network ?. All you are doing is replacing USB capture for a dvr with monitor No network involvement -
Hi. Are all your cameras the same type ? Your unit is a hybrid so will run standard and cvi. If you have a mix then they will not work if the input is not set to the camera format

Reseting password DVR AverMedia Seb5108 Lite
tomcctv replied to Trafic's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi once you get the test colour screen was the time it gave up. You Will not find anything on dvr to allow you to restart. You will need the software reloaded but it is not worth it and no longer supported. We're are you located ?
