Don't take any notice of rank position it means nothing at all I would also recommend avigilon. A museum is a high risk environment and a domestic system is not the answers But your first people to talk too is the museums insurance company. Avigilon also gives you options of valuable add on and good support

What DVR for Remote viewing with sound?
tomcctv replied to CCTV-10-UK's topic in Digital Video Recorders
That is a classic example of someone who does not understand LAN and wan network .....the qvis has very good apps and PC software Qvis is a much better dvr and more features than the floureon and better support. If you are going to go cheaper then you will be making a mistake. -

2amp is not enough for that camera ..........also from your picture some connections have been cut off You have tried on two DVRs ......... You can plug direct into your tv as well but the fact is you can't get a image With those PTZs I know had a ribbon problem (flat cable between head and camera ) -

tomcctv replied to echosan's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. No such thing as best and cheap. You are going to have to give a budget for your systems Face recognition needs good cameras. Just in parts alone you are looking at 60k plus.... And if you have not done IP before add a bit more for mistakes. Avigilon is your best solution (if you want it to work) -

Hi. I know what you want but please you are listing junk it is crap You are also asking for something to work with either a dvr or NVR ...... None of your eBay links will allow you to do that. Your last link .... Says 5mp ..... Look at recording res ... It's not 5mp. You can't get a 5mp for them prices Why do you need 4 cameras for a living room ?? What is your budget -
Hi. $1 change. https://www.lorextechnology.com/hd-ip-security-camera-system/8-channel-hd-security-camera-system-with-ip-cameras/HDIP88DW-1-p This is lorex and you will get a better system than Costco.

tomcctv replied to tester2's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. Nothing but junk .........it says onvif. That is rubbish it's not going to work with anything else besides there software Also look at the sellers 1 is $100 cheaper than the other. Buying junk from China is never good plus you have to use there cloud ..... Not only are you going to be watching but someone in China as well. If you are on a budget then just use a NVR and 4 IP cameras. Much better as with the cameras in your link someone only has to take out 1 camera ..... With 4 it will catch more. If you don't have a budget look at axis or the new 24mp dahua 360 -

tomcctv replied to justusthreearg's topic in Security Cameras
No your pictures don't show As far as dome .... It is not just a plastic cover. Think of you putting a glass over one eye and looking out the bottom. Image is distorted. Same with a PTZ dome it has to be the right size and compensate for how camera sees.... It also applies to sun glare if dome is not right sun will blind the camera -

Hi. You don't get £40 PTZ bargains. Yes if all coax is connected to both camera and dvr and the camera goes home tour there should also be a image. And then you still have to dome problem Are you using 12 or 24v power
