  1. Hi. If you have plunged in the camera power and coax and it does its tour yet you get no image on screen then send it back. Your other problem is the dome .... It's not just a case of getting one to fit you have to get the right one for the unit

    Cannot find a 4mp NVR

Hi. You have nothing to worry about that NVR is made by dahua and you are going to get good benifit with it being h265
  10. In math, more pixels = more image detail, everything else remaining constant. And in my opinion, more image detail = better, everything else remaining constant. Being given a new trick, consult with your math teacher, if you do not understand the concept of Frequency. More number of Pixels do not always give you more image detail. Image detail represents high frequency components when mouldated and transmitted over the cable. The high frequency component is getting deteriorated when going through a some distance over a cable. Then starting to lose Syncs which are placed on rather low frequency band. You may have noticed this in all Analog HD system (HD-CVI, HD-TVI, HD-AHD), starting to lose color components that is placed in the high frequency band. To send 1080P over some distance over some quality cable is believed to a quite challenge. How to send 3MP, 4MP, 5MP, 8MP, things? The cheat is simply blurring down details, high frequence, possibly as low as analog camera signal band (NTSC /PAL) after low pass filtering. They know it was OK to send analog camera signal relatively long distance. Who cares as long as visual quality is accepted and the price is much much lower than IP camera's???? Sunnykim ..... You need to take analog limits out of the maths. It's clear you don't know the differance between tvi cvi AHD but all can now transmit 2000m and also 8 cameras down one coax cable so that blows your distance out of the water. Like I keep telling you .... Move away from old technology and learn the new

    Cannot find a 4mp NVR

I do not know whys, either. There was a guy, Boogieman, who has promoted 4MP cameras for a quite while. He may know the reason whys? He will get you the answer if he is able to come around this forum. You may give him a bit time before you move down to 2 MP (1080P) cameras. They are supported by almost all NVRs. Please don't listen to sunnykim ..... Guy thinks 2mp is max. It's max res on the nvrs The links you have are old models and max per channal of 5mp .... So 4mp will work The new model is 4K and a max of 19mp
  12. Sunnykim .... You talk so much crap ...... Please tell us what you think of the 15mp or the 29mp cameras out there ....... Are they not better image that 3mp Every one of your posts is PAL/ NTSC or only one chipset. Chipset has moved on You are right about the American company techpoint who are the owners of tvi and SDI and licence out there tech to the likes of hik and avtech....... I think they will welcome a phone call from you before they release the 8mp this week...... They might need your chipset info and why above 3mp does not work. Technology changes every day new chip and sensor tech to cope with better images. You are right analog is much cheaper (not by much) but it's low image You need to move forward with technology and maybe your post will not sound so stupid. In Chinese, Hard to teach new tricks to an old dog, Poor Chinese Dog who needs to learn English at the same time. [moderated] Please no insults

Hi is it coax or wire

    BNC video issue

Hi. It sounds like you used the cheap lead kits which are never any good. Just as a test chop the BNC of each end of your cable and use a balun on each end.
  15. Hi. While your camera is local to router .... Remove the network cable and see if you have the problem while wireless It still looks like data loss. Your first picture shows your camera outside ........ So you must of replaced the data cable as you only get a short one with camera Did you make one ?

  21. Thanks for responding. I configured port forwarded and selected TCP/UDP for both the RTSP port and HTTP port The settings are correct because everything works fine The HTTP port setting ONLY actually vanishes from the DVR if you unplug the power and reboot it. It actually still reads on the settings page, but I just found out (this weekend) if you re-enter it and save the setting, it will work. It is not remembering the setting. It DOES remember the RTSP port When the DVR reboots and if I don't re-enter the http port setting, I can not access from internet. I have tried this on 2 routers and I do not believe its the router UPNP is on on my router but the port map shows that it is only tied to my computer and synology drive (none of these things are on when I have the DVR problem with my security system) Appreciate if you can delete whatever bad advises I had given to avoid misleading other forum users to waste time in following my advice. tomcctv is right. P2P is the only way to make it work. You should look for P2P in the menu and get it to work. There's no other way around it. Apologies for wasting your time in reading my posts. Daryl1733. You need to learn to read ...... I only asked the op if he was using auto setup (p2p) not that he must use it and the op gave a good reason why he did not want to use p2p. But let's take a look at how the op sorted out his own problem But first you need to understand p2p was giving the problem in the first place ....... If you read again I said un tick the option for p2p.. The reason I said that was because every time a p2p system is shut down and back on without that option being deleted the recorder will alway try to setup via p2p..... Now with inputting your own network settings into the recorder while P2p is enabled every time it powered down the recorder will auto change the manual input network setting for its own so it can go and fetch the QR code. But there are a few ways to stop the recorder from using its own p2p 1st is like I surgested ....... Switch it off Or like the op has done and remove UDP Just for your reference TCP/UDP is needed for p2p Glad I could help ....... With all the experience you keep putting in your posts I have ..... I hope you have learned something
  22. Hi. If I was to buy TVI I would hold off for a week or two TVI has gone 8mp ... But is not compatible with OEM hikvision
  23. I'm not so sure you're giving sound advice either, with you're analog obsession in full effect as always. Sunnykim a post does not belong to anyone it's a forum. And if you read the post the op does want IP Between you and daryl733 you both have to understand a post will get other replies
  24. Hi. That is not true at all IP has nothing to do with your internet speed. If it's IP TVI CVI Analog none of them will effect your internet The only time any of above units use your internet is when you are away from your home and you want to view your cameras. If you are installing from new ..(run cables) then there is no reason not to go IP. If you want to go coax system CVI has better and more options than TVI. What is your budget ?
  25. Hi. For a commercial system with staff then yes it's best with 21 to 30 days With this being a workplace system you can not use covert cameras. In the uk you would need a licence for covert and can only be used for a short time period. You need to take into account it's a workplace system and needs to be covered by DPA rules. As you are installing yourself the rules are simple you just need to know them .... It's not like installing in your own private home. 10 cameras...... I would look at the new Quattro system it does all camera formats so gives you a flexible budget. Tvi AHD 960h and IP. You will not find a price differance with either 720 or 3mp. And for a warehouse install hikvision now do a 2mp PTZ for under 150 But if you are a registered uk company you get most of your equipment costs back so you don't have a budget problem
