Hi yes it’s the first thing to try … you won’t loose any settings you could also have a faulty power supply which may not be supplying power to the 5 cameras that are out but try the switch off first we’re are you located -
Hi Terry yes your right ….. power lead goes to controller and then lead out to lights Terry once you start using and understanding the equipment you will be changing all sorts in your home ….. it’s a bit hard to get people to understand how it works March of this year I was asked to quote alongside another company to install 2 flood lights 3 pir sensors for over two doors and patio and two switches 1 quote was £580 and day and half mine £230 and all done in 1 hour even the simplest thing like two way light switching ……. Say bed room (saves getting out of bed to switch lights off) is only a 5 min job these are the guys that make the equipment just scroll down to quinetic switches for full range and technical info https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/?ad_position=&source=adwords-tlc&ad_id=388450449108&placement=&kw=tlc direct&network=g&matchtype=p&ad_type=&test=finalurl&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvb7Rx_vW-wIVSAmLCh3OZwMQEAAYASAAEgJRoPD_BwE

Then it has nothing to do with the app I have lots of these systems out and been using them for 7 years if your on a dvr switch everything off including power supply for cameras… leave for 5 minutes then switch cameras on then recorder if nvr just switch off for 5 mins then on again your installer should of set reboot up when installing….. I usually do it too ….. 2am Sunday mornings you can set it yourself bottom left of screen ….. settings …… then system then set reboot once a week at time of your choice -

Hi yes a simple fix …….. top left of screen press the icon then press server list then click arrow …. That’s it done -
Hi you can buy quinetic led lights but it’s better to use your existing or new standard led say 3 led security lights you would only need 1 receiver if you want all 3 to come on at the same time ….. you can also add a light switch and also pir sensors around your property…. Back front /side upto 100m away and they will switch your 3 lights on. what could take a few days to install with cables and wired sensors and the cost of cable you could install all within a hour for around £60 also the remote control for key rings is ideal for in your car when approaching your property and that’s only £10 take a look at these videos

Hi Installing security lights / switches or sensors ….. the only option I use now is called Quinetic I have been using this for around 5 years and cuts the cost of cabling and time quinetic is a range of wireless switches that also does not use batteries or any internet connection…. And a lifetime of 40 years In your case you can have upto 10 pir sensors 90m away from light with no cables control multiple lights with one receiver also the easiest way to convert two way switching just by replacing one light switch https://www.quinetic.co.uk/

Hi is that £ or $ ……. Sorry that’s ridiculous

Hi. Out of the two you have listed Avigilon is by far the best. but for residential use and only 8 cameras why go with the expense of using a PC based recorder (which avigilon and geo are) which was the highest quote and how much ?
-
Hi yes there are a lot of options but depends on what part of the world your in

Hi once on video it is classed as public even if it is to sort out cars that should be in the area once you have the information you need … talking to your council will be a big mistake as the first thing they will ask you for is your ppl licence as far as using smart cameras (Arlo) these are not fit for purpose in unlicensed areas as a 3rd party is needed to use them …. Don’t get Arlo and cctv mixed up but there are ways around this but what part of uk are you at
-
Hi. Then with being in the uk makes it a little difficult (i am uk as well) As you will be collecting information (number plates… speeders) a licence or temp licence is needed for public space….. it falls under GDPR this does not cost anything but someone has to be responsible for the data collected and how it’s used also signs need to be installed at each end of the 1.5 mile road as there public space cameras but there are also ways around this will the cameras be on private land does every home give consent we’re in the uk are you located and what is your budget
-
Hi this depends on what country you are in ?
-
Ok seems pointless but your choice

Hi Gabriel… yes it is very possible but depending on a few things are the 3 cameras located in same area and the distance from cameras to recorder but yes 3 cameras down one cat cable is done by running all 3 cameras to a 4way Poe switch you then have the option to run one cat cable from switch to router or using tp-link Ethernet power adapters
