No that info is wrong ... Also wrong .... The reason why I replied to this post is the model number in the discription. It is a Samsung 100ohm system ...... Can't do 75ohm Samsung sharp lorex all sold 100ohm systems and could only use specific cameras and only use the cables that came with the kits. They did not run on coax. So ops distance would of been no good. But if you think the industry only use the chipset you keep posting about then that's your problem on not moving forward on your technology. You are temporarily excused of all false claims. Wikipedia "Hi3515" and "impedance matching". sunnykim. That link just shows how stupid you are Why have you googled the wrong thing ? Yes for years CCTV is on 75ohm and that can be found like this - Do you agree that if you look at the spec of a new camera it will say on the spec it's TVL and 75 ohm And the same with recorders ... It will say BNC 75ohm . I think you will agree about that ? Now to join the camera to recorder the cable has to be 75ohm IE coax which is rated at 75ohm ( just In case you did not know coax can also be 50ohm) but no good for CCTV. Now as you SHOULD know is cat5 or even alarm cable is 100ohm So ..... 75ohm camera - 100ohm cat5 - to 75 ohm recorder is NOT a match. THAT IS WHY we have baluns so a quick explanation. 75 ohm camera - BALUN - cat5 - balun-recorder makes a 75ohm system. Now for the ops system It's a 100ohm .... Camera is 100ohm the cable which was normally alarm cable (100ohm) and receiver.... Op system does not have a recorder and none of the 100ohm systems recorded. To get recording in quad only the receiver had a 75 ohm output for a vcr. Now you can't use the Samsung 100 ohm camera on systems of today just as you can't use a 75ohm modern camera on a Samsung 100 ohm receiver. SSC-21 is a 100ohm system from 20 years ago and you had to use there cameras only. Now your link is right .... For standard cctv But the post is about a SSC-21 so has nothing at all to do with it. The post is about 100ohms WHY ARE YOU GIVING MODERN ADVICE TO A SYSTEM THAT CAN NOT RUN MODERN CAMERAS

Hi. Jmcu Nice clean job. We supplied similar dahua equipment to Milwaukee racing. Who used a similar setup to yours last race season. Then sold it on . We was asked buy the new owner to help with a video wall to be mounted by the camera 9x60inch with the dahua video wall controller. (The wall is only used for events) but that also gives him a income from displaying advertisements But what you have built gives you so much income opportunity I hope it goes just as well for you. Another add on option is dahuas speed detection and licence plate detector. But nice job ...... You need another suv now as yours is going to be rented out

Blurred Moving Images When Stopping Frames At Night Time
tomcctv replied to newsystem's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
A good system will give clearer more recognizable images for day and night use I see that you're a licensed installer and trainer. In your professional opinion, do you think I am better off with the digital system or an analog? I presently have an analog system and I still have another five weeks to take advantage of my return policy back to Lorex. What you think I should do? Hi. Are you making the changes on the recorder or the camera end ? -
Need advice on a new system. Our current method won't work..
tomcctv replied to dmills913's topic in System Design
I can't seem to get the point across ... We are all talking about different methods You are using there apps for remote viewing over WAN . You still have LAN and this method does not restrict you at all. I think I'll back out from giving advice over this problem .. It's being made difficult but others who have openly said they have never been involved with y-cam -
Need advice on a new system. Our current method won't work..
tomcctv replied to dmills913's topic in System Design
And like I keep on saying home monitoring is a add on service at $45. And is not needed which will end the problem of 15-20 minutes On there standard app you can watch till the cows come home ... Watch 365 days a year And it can all be done local -

tomcctv replied to dmills913's topic in System Design
Home monitor plus is a chargeable service to use it. And you opt into it. This allows the HD app and the roku service .... You need to stop using those apps and go for there standard one or use the eye spy one. Then stream to TVs via another option If your not happy using the y-cam and waste 2k then change everything to another camera system ...... But you are still going to have the SAME problem the tv stream How many cameras do you have. .? At each location -

Daryl733. This is the 3rd time you have surgested in a post that am not familiar with some types of CCTV. With over 33 years I think I do and another y-cam was a big seller in the uk so yes I have come across a few in my life time. Y-cam will work just like any other IP camera ...we have them on avermedia dahua and hik systems when people wanted upgrades. -

Why are you looking at blue iris ..... Your going back to a 3rd party with more cost. If your looking at dahua use dahua software which comes with cameras or use a NVR Which y-cams do you have? -
Costco's Lorex 8-Channel NVR w/4 3MP cameras
tomcctv replied to dougallison's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Your Costco link is a good unit. And is a plug and play with auto setup. The ideal way to set it up is do not switch on the unit till it is all fitted. Install all cameras connect all cables connect monitor and connect to network .... Then switch the recorder on and go and make yourself a cup of coffee as the unit takes 10 to 15 minutes to set itself up. -

tomcctv replied to dmills913's topic in System Design
if your having 15-20 shut down on a app then if it happends on the tv box and the other y-cam apps then you have a setup problem and could be your network . Try another app see if you get the same lock out. Let me explain 3rd party again for you Using the roku app ... You need to understand they as the third party are streaming over Internet ...... It's not from y-cam it's not local connection ... It's 3rd party. Another question for you .... If roku had not stopped there service would you of still come on the forum ? As far as I can make out on your first post is you have a stream problem Just change your stream method. But if you want to go a NVR method first before you change anything first generation fw 1.98 . Will not work with most NVRs -

Again your limit is done via a 3rd party don't use the roku app . It has nothing at all to do with y-cam. Swap to y-cams. App and you have no limitations -
Need advice on a new system. Our current method won't work..
tomcctv replied to dmills913's topic in System Design
Rokus is just a stream service ... Nothing to do with y-cam except it runs a all from y-cam You could do exactly the same with your existing system but steam in another method. Or you can change all for hikvision but you are still stuck as if hikvision or your existing Y-cam you still need to find a stream to work on a tv. Use y-cam app on smart device which belongs to y-cam and use a $25 android box. Are you talking about local TVs ( we're cameras are located) if so you can now stream any IP camera to a tv with a IP cambox -
Need advice on a new system. Our current method won't work..
tomcctv replied to dmills913's topic in System Design
Hi. Your system has nothing to do with p2p and Roku tv has nothing to do with your system. It's a streaming service and not controlled at all by y-cam. As far as your existing system that is fine if it is working the way you want. But as you know anyone who had access to your system via roku would have also needed a roku tv box. With your existing setup you can still access via smart devices... Android iPad iPhone Windows. And if your views wanted to view via a tv then they could use a android tv box or Apple TV And going that option you might find it's quicker than going with a 3rd party like roku -
Need help identifying DVR and client software
tomcctv replied to Guyton's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. All that's is available is the smart viewer 4.5 but only covers DVRs from 2014 onwards Look at Samsung support and send them an email -

Need help identifying DVR and client software
tomcctv replied to Guyton's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. Your system is a old Samsung unit. And it's not been supported for years. You need client software which will no longer be supported with Windows also you need proprietary software to watch footage when burnt off. If your looking at saving an event you have had then use the tv output and record it on another device. But think it's time you upgraded your recorder. -
Hello All - Updating an existing Wired Lorex DVR System
tomcctv replied to Ohioscott's topic in Introductions
Hi. If you look at replacing your dvr and adding more cameras you have to admit $500 budget your not going to do it. You could stay all analog but you are wasting your bosses money only to have to upgrade later Look at the lorex hybrid analog -cvi and IP recorder Use your existing cameras and if need to replace an old analog later then it's just a camera change to a cvi over the same coax. Using analog for a car park you will need a lot of them to get good coverage ...... IP cameras are better for that type of application and don't need as many -
Hi. Hope this helps Convert to use YouTube http://mp3warehouse.biz/videos/how-to-convert-vvf-to-avi-mkv-mp4-wmv-mpeg-youtube
-
Hi. 300m is not a problem at all using any format .. cvi tvi or analog Depends on your budget
-
Hikvision did not create tvi they are a licences makers. Also hikvision 4K is using there own H265 plus which has been belayed because it is not comparable with the true H265 standard.

" title="Applause" /> THOUGHT YOU SAID CIF DOES NOT EXIST viewtopic.php?f=6&t=50990
-
We have had some stupid people on the forum over the years .. But you are at the top. Reading your posts I think you are here to just wind people up .. Everything you say is the opposite. Yes I do know TVL AND IF your saying cif never existed then I think the days of you giving advice are over. You have cctv and tv broadcasting mixed up Just the same as 10 years ago with cheap DVRS from China the sales pitch was DVD quality ...... It never was But here we are again .... Ops system is a cif unit with no recording ( needs a vcr) If your going to give the op your advice that he has a D1 system then yet again you have turned another post into a load of rubbish If it looks like a chicken and walks like a chicken and sounds like a chicken YOU would say it's a duck. So again to op it's a cif system 100ohm with no recording .. So is it worth the time and effort when analog is so cheap as an alternative and have recording and have networking and have 960h That will be 352x240
-
How can you change cif to D1 Yes tvl does matter. It matters a lot Also a none coax system does not have the distance of a 75ohm coax system Plus the op is talking about a combo 100ohm system and no recording So in your mind the system is ok ? I think most people would recommend something that first records and second something better than cif
-
Hi. Is it worth it for a CIF 380tvl system ? How are you going to record your cameras
