First call and see your post office manager and explain what your going to do. First make up a parcel with a mini tracker in it and leave it in your post box (you need to let your post master not to collect it from your box) also it's best if the theft is delt by your post office than you. You can pic these up for $50 and they will alert you as soon as parcel is moved from your box ...... They only have a battery life of 22 days but only take half hour to recharge. I would make yourself a small parcel of a old cell phone. Remove the battery from the cell and insert the tracker and super glue it all closed

Hi. You are using a old avtech unit .. Low resolution unit .... For what your going to pay to replace hard drive you can pic up a new dvr I would not spend any money on your existing unit

I think your missing the point ..... As you said above yes it will But if a person goes up a ladder and uses the network cable and connects to the network with a laptop that has not been on the network and DHCP is off on the NVR then that is not going to work. So I will stand by my first post. As long as your network is secure there is no problem having an IP camera outdoors.

Hi. First that NVR is 4 years out of date ........ And it will not run all your cameras at full res Then you have the problem of it NOT being a POE unit. So you need a good POE switch

About time the HDD kicks the bucket. Depending on the NVR model, the HDD inside is most likely an off the shelf consumer grade HDD that've withstood 3.5 years of 100% 24/7 write which is FAR more than any desktop application. When you replace the HDD, be sure to use HDDs meant for surveillance such as WD Purple, Seagate Surveilance etc. Hi if your dvr is 3 years old I would buy the same hard drive as already in. Not all standalone will run purple or so called surveillance drives.

WHY Would a IP camera fitted to outside of your home give an entry point to your network ??? IP TO NVR is the same as ANALOG TO DVR THE security problem is how you connect to your system to the network P2P is a bad thing and the worst is hikvision ...... All the self detect systems will have a problem and using that method over rides your security of your network ..... Creating your own network and your own port forwarding is the best way.

Hi your pictures show your dvr is not on line. Tick DHCP Enable ... Then switch dvr off then on again and see if IP and subnet sets its self primary Dns needs to be your router secondary DNS needs to be 8.8.8.8
