  1. Hi. You might not have a problem ....... You might have two channels switched off for viewing To test this do an easy test. Remove camera that you know is working on your dvr and move the BNC to one of the ports you have tried the new camer on and see if it displays or not

Hi your lorex will work because they are h264 Lorex don't use hikvision now they use dahua But I am talking about 3 year old Lorex, not new ones. Yes they will still work. Onvif
  3. I did read.... And like a lot of people posting these problems it is still a lack of network skill. Like the post you talk about. Below is the image .... Spot the problem even if p2p is un ticked

  5. Hi. You do have control.. Option is use p2p or set up manual which is more secure. P2p was just a budget system get remote view setup with out knowing simple network and it's always been a problem since avtech brought it out 6 years ago

    Upgrading to 4k NVR?

Hi. The dahua unit as from 3 months ago are all h264 and h265. Going h265 with 4K or with dahua new 12mp PTZ is the way to go ... Less storage and large files made quicker. There are a few system manufactures going h265. But a problem has already started to show. Like in the past h264 has had differance...... The real licences h264 or copy of h264. And it has always been noticed in the industry ... Take manufactures price ..... Avigilon geo aver apco Panasonic Samsung all pay for the real h264 Others went for unlicensed which is also on no name and low budget systems H265 now has a problem with comparability with the unlicensed H264-plus. Which is hikvision. H264-plus and h265 will not exchange with each other. But h264 and h265 do convert with each other ..... So dahua units have both so as you can still use existing cameras like axis h264 and there new h265
  7. Hi. It's hikvision that has the security concerns ... And now also comparability problems. Costco don't sell the newest dahua ... So I would look for a dahua distributor to get there latest products. We're are you located .. See if one is close to you.
  8. Hi. With your budget this would be a good buy for you. It is a 16 way so it also gives you the option to add more cameras in the future. This unit is also POE so that also saves money as you don't need the cost of power supply .... It's plug and play from camera to recorder. For the cost of the recorder and what you have left you should be able to pick up 5 or 6 new cameras to go with it. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=48979&hilit=Dahua And since its for dogs home I will register the system with dahua ddns and cloud service. ...... Remote view and some storage free

HD-TVI DVR Huviron or Hikvision ?

Hi. Huviron is far better. And is a good hybrid to go with.
  10. Hi. Cat5 gives you all options both analog or IP I would go for IP and a nvr recorder with Poe
  11. Hi. You may have the hikvision unit from Costco. In which case I would say you have one of the hikvision Bitcoin malware units. In 2014 -2015 hikvision would not admit to the problem but they have now ... So either talk with Costco support or your other option is to contact memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=37202 He knows how to get Bitcoin malware off
  12. Hi. Remove that app from your device and try again with this on .... But delete the other app first. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mm.android.direct.evoplusLite&hl=en_GB
  13. This site let me quickly create an account without needing to fill out a credit app. It is appears to have what I'm looking for too. Thanks for sharing this. I think I've found another solution, but I will definitely use this site for comparison shopping. Hi your best not using that site for comparison... Imported China cameras will be cheaper but come with China osd and not USA which gives problems Can I ask why your stuck on using hikvision

    Multi Channel Over Single Coax?

We have used these in the past and they work. http://www.cctvmule.com
  15. OP did say a page with no login and also not China model
  16. With cat5 or 6 you need to use the twist .... As in 1 pair. 6 cameras will need 6 pair. And bad idea to use a common negitve for both camera video and power
  17. Yes you can .... But not as your diagram. Also you will lower your resolution if you go over a certain distance
  18. Hi. Avigilon you will be happy with and you don't need blue iris for them. I would also look at buying dahua over hikvision at the moment

    Dahua and POS

Hi. How many registers are you looking at connecting and were are you located
  20. Hi only analog with that card ....... Geo does SDI ... Which might be a better upgrade for you
  21. Hi. That looks like dust in the air ..... IR cameras are no good in that kind of environment You might be best installing a light with a PIR for that area. You should see the dust moving around on playback
  22. Hi. You will find hikvision have changed there websearch as of January www.hikvision is not used anymore it's all www.overseas.hikvision ..... So you also have to add that is you need there FTP site.
  23. If you think it's bull then that is your problem. I just responded to a post with a fact
  24. What dahua NVR has this option? The word replay is not even in any of the user manuals. On all dahua dvr and NVR since 2008 And avermedia its matrix and been on since 20011 But if you have to look at the manual then it obvious you have not used it so how can you comment about it
