Hi. Yes there are also rat on analytics out there and expensive but not reliable. If you think about it there are many ways for a store holdup with or without arms. Yes some are armed with either guns knives hammers and some are done by passing a not to cashier and most are just grab .... As register is open. So there is to much for a single analytics to work out . Your best few options are wireless panic button inside cash register or look at your cash register manual as some know have a distress button on them .......most registers require operator to input something to open it .... They would do the same but in a holdup situation they would also hit the distress key as well As far as video you will alway have it running as it would.

IP cameras and POS system
tomcctv replied to minni1986's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. We do a lot of pos and gilbarco systems ( both pos and pump management) You will find it much easier to use the existing internal network to capture the text. Each cash register is already sending the text data back to back office ( as stock control) which is still to much info for using as text overlay but if you go on the back office PC and do IP config and search pos term all cash registers will show ... Write down each IP address it will show for each. Then go to management service on the pos back office then network and look for port out ..... Look at each IP you written down and look for port 5551 ( cash register1) 5552 ( cash register2) This will give you the same text as recept to customer and these are the IP and address you should use on each camera on your hik NVR Also on gilbarco pump management it has alarm outputs which can be sent to a PTZ camera .... When pump 1 is started PTZ will turn to is or pump 4 .... Capture every pump which starts and this will also show on transaction ( if pump start is on registers) -
Hi. Sounds like you got a quote from the wrong person ..... Parts you have listed just make it expensive..... Two DVRS will need two monitors ..... Go 1 16 way and only 1 monitor is needed Then there is the storage of data (hard drives). 6 PTZ cameras will eat that up. PTZ cameras are useless if no operators is with them fix cameras are better or your install and that will save you $1000s alone I would look for a CVI system like dahua 16 way dvr and 16 fixed cameras But if your understand networking then go IP system What is your ideal budget ?

Is it stilll functioning or do i need to delete storage?
tomcctv replied to Physicalmiracle's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Sounds like you have other problems ..... Even if hard drive is full that should not stop your screen image of cameras Try going back on your hard rive and see what has happened -
Hi. Yes you will have to put your own BNC ends on ... Or you can go cat5 cable and use Baluns .... Either way is going to be a better way than the cables you are using which are poor for CCTV use.
-
Hi. Your bad image is down to poor cable .... While you are doing the install ditch the cable kits you have and go for RG59 with power
-
Hi. Stay with 12v for now .... Your cameras may not be duel voltage.... If you already get an image from your cameras with using 12v then that is a start. What cable are you using for video and power ?

IR Blasters for Honeywell HD4MDIP IP Network Cameras, PoE
tomcctv replied to csnyder79's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Not a good idea ....... Any camera with built in IR is going to let you down .... Attracts all sorts to your lens at night IR is alway best away from the dome and lens Your camera is a CNB very good at low light ...... If you are not using IR around your camera location then you are best switching it to colour only and see what your image is like. But if you do want to install IR for your camera make it simple for yourself and fit POE inline IR -

Vitex don't make ...... They buy in from China ... So like a said open source ..... Not a main developer like the main two licensed There is nothing wrong in your systems operation except screen fit That's just down to the output of the dvr. -

tomcctv replied to andybear's topic in General Digital Discussion
Thanks tom, so I now have this: NIC type - 10m/100m Self-adaptive Enable DHCP - checked IP4 Address - 192.168.0.15 IP4 Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0 IPv4 Default gateway - 192.168.0.15 IPV6 address 1 - long number IPV6 address 2 - long number IPV6 default gateway - thats blanks Not sure where the 8.8.8.8 goes though? Do I need to power down the DVR and power up again now? Hi your default gateway needs to be 192.168.0.1 -
You don't even understand what he is saying and you're being a total ass. Grow up douche. IF A STRAIGHT THROUGH WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM HE WOULDN'T BE HERE BECAUSE HE TRIED THAT FIRST. HE'S GOING FROM 6 TO 4 NOT 6 TO 6. DO you need someone to read for you, you arrogant, self-loathing conceited piece of dog excrement? TO THE O.P. You're going to have to do some tests, find power first and once you get the camera powered on, just do trial and error till you find audio and video, or just video in your case I guess. Well hello. Nice first post .... I can see your going to get on well with members .......not

Can't view Hikvision DS-7200 DVR on local wifi network
tomcctv replied to andybear's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi on dvr network settings set everything like this 192.168.0.15 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1 8.8.8.8 Then 192.168.0.15 is your dvr local IP -
Thanks for the reply, I am a bit nervous about deleting the 'Admin' one?! Is there no option to change the password instead? Yes you can change password only ..... But you still need to create another admin account to change old password But if you think about it ..... Your just doing the same by adding a new as altering an old
-
Hi. On the maplin system you go into accounts under setting then you create another admin account that has full control ..... Creat your new password. Then you log out of your dvr and log back in with your new account ..... Then go setting then accounts and delete your old one

tomcctv replied to andybear's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yes old idea to connect to your router. Once you have done that switch both your router and dvr off for a few seconds then switch router on first then your dvr .... Sky router will apply a new IP to your dvr .... 192.168.1.x that is the IP you need for your local view -
