Your 16 way can only run 1.3mp on each which is old I also see your in India that is going to make support expensive .

    newbie...need some direction

Hi. Look for a camera that does not need a app . Avermedia cameras just save IP address in browser and straight in .... As quick as visiting a webpage Some apps are quicker that others makers of the camera or recorder produce there own which might be quicker
  17. Hi. Your cameras will not work with either the dahua or bosh as your cameras are TVI format ..... You need a TVI recorder
  18. Well all the above is wrong . What do you recommend for the op to go with HIS ALREADY PURCHASED recorder I am not an English. Are you?. If so, please excuse my English. On 4K Why would more HDD be needed Why would frames be low How can 720 be same as 16mp
  19. One off install you are wasting money ........ Some of your cameras listed are fixed lens But having that tester or a mobile up a ladder is not differance The £500 tester will not give you as much help as a pad or smartphone
  20. Hi you say in your post it's just to help you set camera up at home Why not save yourself the 500 and use your home network and use a tablet or smartphone
  21. Well all the above is wrong . What do you recommend for the op to go with HIS ALREADY PURCHASED recorder

    PTZ camera powered by Cat5

Hi. There is nothing wrong in using cat5 for a PTZ ... Depends on distance if another power cable is needed to be run . As far as missing images while moving your PTZ ... This sounds like you have privacy zones set

    Can anyone recommend a good/cheap 8ch NVR

Hi. Go with another dahua since you know how to work them Plus you can monitor your parents system with yours if they ever go away and same with your system
  24. Hi. Yes you can set one up you will need a NVR that has built in POE something like a dahua or hikvision system .... Or any system and use a switch The only problem you will have is setting up remote view if you needed that option ..... You will need to do some port forwarding if you don't have a system that can auto do p2p On dahua all is needed is there QR code to set up ... So no need for a PC But you can also do port forwarding using a iPad or tablet or smartphone if you have one
