New ground-up system - Need recommendations / opinion
tomcctv replied to rustybc's topic in General Digital Discussion
If your going to spam your products do your homework ...... Analytics is also on analog Email notification is nothing new most systems for past 10 years have this function and with video not basic snapshot But going to your site and looking at the specs .... Your 16 way can only run 1.3mp on each which is old I also see your in India that is going to make support expensive . -
You will need a hard drive with your first option Then the rest of your links ..... None match, 3 different formats different systems...... Will not connect to your first

tomcctv replied to MikeHansen's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi. You can use these to convert your analog cameras http://www.veracityglobal.com/products/ethernet-over-coax-devices.aspx Or go with a hybrid NVR something like avermedia -
Hi. I only read your first line of your post till I got to the £45 price part What is your budget ?

Hi. Look for a camera that does not need a app . Avermedia cameras just save IP address in browser and straight in .... As quick as visiting a webpage Some apps are quicker that others makers of the camera or recorder produce there own which might be quicker

One off install you are wasting money ........ Some of your cameras listed are fixed lens But having that tester or a mobile up a ladder is not differance The £500 tester will not give you as much help as a pad or smartphone -

Hi. There is nothing wrong in using cat5 for a PTZ ... Depends on distance if another power cable is needed to be run . As far as missing images while moving your PTZ ... This sounds like you have privacy zones set

Installing a new DVR surveillance system without a pc?
tomcctv replied to mortix's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Yes you can set one up you will need a NVR that has built in POE something like a dahua or hikvision system .... Or any system and use a switch The only problem you will have is setting up remote view if you needed that option ..... You will need to do some port forwarding if you don't have a system that can auto do p2p On dahua all is needed is there QR code to set up ... So no need for a PC But you can also do port forwarding using a iPad or tablet or smartphone if you have one -
Hi you get a lot of features with the vivotek system
-
Hi 1 amp is too low
-
Wow that is 5 hours per camera . Time to get a pro in
-
Hi . No they will not work with your existing cable ..... Plus you would be on analog with them baluns With a 600ft drive why not use IP cameras ........ If you use daisy chain cameras it will allow you to have a camera at start of drive way and another at the end ..... Or 1 half way . At least you can see who is at your drive entrance and a camera half way to also watch

You talk some bloody rubbish What about 1080p X 16ch or 32ch do these not work anymore ?
