  1. Hi. I would look at cctv instead of built in Wi-Fi cameras which are smart cameras not cctv in your other post I was asking wireless range does each location use the same power ? and I would give hikvision a miss since there having problems again with private data

    Cctv system please help

Hi what is your budget . Will you be installing yourself
  3. So what about the electronic signature that can’t be deleted from files or even the watermark if you have 15 years … why have you eliminated motion detection with pre and post record watch the video again ….. camera is protecting the perimeter fence of a business … most likely setup with motion segment and pre and post record is part of motion setup pre …. = girl is first picked up by cctv (5sec) she walks along fence line activating each motion detection post…..= girl walks away from fence line but post record continues for 20 seconds …. Which is standard setting for post then camera stops recording unfortunately motion detection is also effected by moving lights at night or shadows ….. just like the car coming into view at 2.30 (top left) other reason for motion record setup the footage shows car park area beyond fence line ….. it would use up cctv owners hard drive to record everything each time cars are parking up but again all this is easy checked if police did there job right or at least used a video forensics team to check the settings on the recorder …… motion setup settings will show motion area and what pre and post times are and I bet the settings are still the same now if someone checked

    p2p ip cameras

Hi. The answer is no p2p (peer to peer) is usually setup via qr code or serial number and opens the ports it needs by its self on your router which then connects camera to another server usually in China ….. when you access camera on your local network you can use its local iP but when away from your own network you are infact getting the data from the 3rd party server
  5. hi the market hasn’t changed … it’s just got itself confused to help sell crap and pop up company’s that don’t understand what there selling put Wi-Fi cameras into any browser and all your going to get is smart cameras ….. need registration to work ….. needs P2P to work and 3rd party involvement just to be able to use it why are you looking for Wi-Fi camera ….. what is the camera distance ?

New to this forum and CCTV

Hi then wireless is the wrong way to go it has never been reliable and also does not last long …… the last few months wireless have gone cheap some reduced by 70% it is also a bad idea to buy two unless you only use them as two 4 ways and that will slow your own network down ( P2P China) you can run the 8 cameras on one dvr but you can’t backup using another wireless dvr as each camera code has already been used and set on first dvr To be ultra secure….. wireless with P2P China and short life span is not secure

    Cctv

Hi. The Aldi system was a analog system they only did it for a short time do your cameras connect to dvr with a bnc twist plug or rj45 (like telephone plug) Tinycam is only a generic viewer
  8. Your recorder has a hdmi cable connected …. That is how images get to the screen ….. we know that is working as you have posted a picture of your monitor showing the dvr screen with blank cameras ……. There blank on the screen because there not powered up
  9. Hi the cameras connect to dvr via the yellow plugs …. The red plugs are power for cameras only ….. the new power supply does not connect to the recorder
  10. Hi yes that’s everything …. And the right way to install it …. Also the power supply from eBay is from the same company the dvr and cameras came from (qvis) does your dad use the remote viewing ?
  11. Hi the one your dad bought will run just dvr only this link will be for cameras only https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353578544966?hash=item5252ec6f46:g:urwAAOSwK~ZjTo04&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwHpz0lw1rV6%2FXh7iqcWTnvrf0gnPBPjGhf%2BZrfwTJsjq9oCWilT1HcLjs61pT6VO6ONBvGACqVi5QEF0Bp5pqy9Xo78TziGYhjQsRA6F25Q8ZhBVhJ7ePKO3erC%2F4uvI9Yd6RU3SIU3dFBKE%2BF5unDkclGKfw1DSPjnN3SJbpADe%2B33hzSNPGJ8iSrRIrcCDoPjULN8ux3FyKQUwln0A%2Fkj%2FSmvImd7o3L8jr6U4jvOqDNQa0r%2FOAMI3OjJclTYgVg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABlBMUMCv4_D-YA

Hi can you post a image of your menu screen or provide a make and model
  13. Ok then you need to order another power supply I have picked this one because it’s easier to install all you need to do is unplug the black leads from the red plugs and plug in the new ones from this kit and you should be ok to go you also get a plug adapter with this kit but you don’t need it just plug 4 red into the 4 new black and the other end of the pig tail goes direct into new power supply lead Link https://www.amazon.co.uk/BW-Quality-Splitter-Alternative-Included)-Black/dp/B00C676JNM/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?crid=2FMVO7VML5GSK&keywords=cctv+power+supply+12v&qid=1666292167&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjU3IiwicXNhIjoiNC4wNyIsInFzcCI6IjMuOTMifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=%2Caps%2C54&sr=8-13
  14. Then that is your problem it sounds like who ever installed your system cut corners …. A bad corner at that all analog systems must have two power supplies one that should power dvr only and another to power cameras only but it looks like your installer cut corners and only used the one that came with the dvr and split the power between dvr and cameras which is not good a quick test is to go outside now (as it’s dark) and see if the cameras glow red (They won’t be)
  15. Ok what is that power supply plugged into does it go direct into dvr or into pigtails
  16. Can you post a picture of power supply connected your picture showing the red plugs this is the power for the cameras so must be going to a power supply
  17. Also in one of your screen images in your first post it shows ahd in the centre… your camera picture only shows standard analog on your monitor screen you need to change format …. Do this….. on monitor screen next to cam number (bottom left) on every camera press the little white square with your mouse each time you press wait a few seconds on each push of square … it should change ahd to tvi to cvi to cvb …… see if any image starts to show
  18. Hi. Can you take a picture of the power supply we’re the black end leads go into red in your picture

Panasonic WJ`HD316A not booting up on turn on

Hi. Depending on how important the footage is ……. Your looking at a 21 year old cif recorder you will need a hard drive reader that uses a IDE drive that’s your first cost then if you get that far without being ask to format ….. you need to search 4 partitions on the drive……. Partition 3 will have the files on that you need …. Partition 4 will have backup and file player ……. But that’s your next problem ….. they won’t run on newer pc as the licence will have run out …… sometimes resetting time and date on your pc to something like 2006 @12.00pm its not going to be cheap and very time consuming …. Also footage is cif and not very clear so might not be any good for legal use
  20. Hi is this a shop or office space ? we’re are you located ? your pictures still don’t show power supply for cameras …. If you follow the yellow camera leads they should take you to a power supply (red plug)
  21. Hi your system should have two power supplies one that plugs direct into recorder and another one just to power the cameras …. Do you know we’re that one is
  22. Hi. Which power did you change … dvr or camera power (you should have more than one power) your image shows camera power loss
  23. Hi we’re are you based and I’ll find links to your area
  24. Hi powered baluns are your problem … I would swap them out for normal baluns the reason why power baluns don’t use all remaining cores for power which effect’s camera power standard baluns only need 1 pair for image … you then spit the other pair’s for positive and negative power…… I would also use another power adapter…. Two on each and the reason for this is if you have a faulty camera it does not take them all out

    Environmental charge on purchase

Hi it depends on what part of the world your in and the environment statement set by your area enviromental fee in some areas and what products can’t be passed on to a customer as it’s designed to reduce plastics that company uses imports of goods in plastic boxes or bags and also covers foam packaging …. All of which could of been packed in something more environmentally friendly I would research plastic tax in your area basically it’s a tax on plastics a company uses to reduce the tax they change to better packaging ….. it’s not right they should pass on that charge to a customer so they can pay that tax
