  5. Wow don't put your camera up if it stresses you out so much Now forget your install what about the shop down the road or the petrol station what do you think they have to do when kids go past from school ??? DPA regarding children No cameras in kids park No camera to be used for children only This thread now seems to be your looking to have someone else camera removed and your looking for a reason to how
  6. Listen am in the uk .... Fitting security for over 30 years Also part of northwest security police group No you don't need a DPA No police can't ask you to remove Yes you can put a camera on your house looking out to your car There is no law stopping you. Like I said don't use CCTV signs Take a walk around your area ..(a place I know well) and see how many homes do have cameras
  7. Hi. You might find the HDD is not comparable But another question .... Have you set up recording on dvr ?
  8. There is no act If the camera is on your home then it is not covered You do need DPA if your are a business corner shop or petrol station Also which is why I said DONT put signs up ....... This will make your camera public and not private There are 1000s of private people putting cameras up on there homes Don't look at making your own camera complicated Just use your camera as intended which is to watch your car that is all you need. No point sending you DPA rules as your not registered and not needed
  9. We have systems in Ayr You are installing a private system ..... Your right about the police not knowing and it is a mind field but you don't come under any DPA rules I am registered with DPA with being in the industry for over 30 years All you need to do is install that's it
  10. Yes I know the area well DPA is a little different in Scotland than England but it does not concern your needs You are not breaking any laws on installing your camera
  11. The rules only apply if your system is registered with the DPI There is no problem in the uk to have a camera to view your car What's DPI? please . It's called data protection act. Are you in Glasgow area ?
  12. The rules only apply if your system is registered with the DPI There is no problem in the uk to have a camera to view your car
  13. I will have to disguise it then. Anyone can see it. And it shows neighbours property. Then it's classed as covert ........ Just put camera up Where are you located

  21. There are a few ways to manage your storage...... You have 2tb giving you one day so based on your settings staying the same and you want 5 days then 2tb X 5 = 10tb. But by managing your res and fps with 33 cameras you might save some space What are you using to record all your cameras ?
