Hi. That is expensive and that is without hard drive Look for brand names like dahua you will get good warranty in the uk plus free monitoring when needed. Where are you based ?
-
Hi Swann 4200 systems have part numbers like this DVR4-4200 = 4 chan DVR9-4200= 9 chan DVR16 4200= 16 chan If you only have 4 BNC inputs then you have the DVR4 -4200 You will need to change your dvr to move to 8 camera system
-
33 years in the industry this November £3.000 for 8 cameras .... It has never been that Show me a good system with HD and monitor for £300
-
Sunnykim. Courts will no longer use footage that is bad image ..... It can't be a guessing game But let's take a look at your £300 system let's see if you can add up Very cheap monitor £75 2tb hard drive £100 We are at £175 without including dvr and 8 cameras plus power supply So £125 left from budget to get dvr and 8 cameras .... Except your junk
-
Guess you don't know the value of £300 Instead of just sales ..... Take into account the ops application ...a farm .... 8 cameras dvr HDD and monitor for £300 is going to be junk. It is not just a matter of selling .... The area covered all so needs to be taken to account . sunnykim. U.K. Has fit for purpose ...... Images need to be good to even get them to court ...... No point installing a system that is cheap and poor
-
Hi. If in the uk look at dahua equipment Your problem is budget £300 You are looking at a high value area as in a farm ..... Uk has problems of fuel theft from farm yards ..... No point using cheap equipment to protect £1000s of fuel
-
Hi yes it could be 4-9 or 16 ...... You will have to count how many BNC inputs it has on the back of your unit

The site is up but won't allow new members. I am trying to find someone who is a member and still has access. I need a couple of pieces of software from the site. Why not drop Rory an email requesting the downloads Rory has put a lot of work into his site

Hi. Avtech dvrs are time dependant and part of looking back they need time ... File time ... File location With you doing an update all the find data will be gone Some old avtech you could just alter the time on recorder to the time you need the footage But you might be best using the avtech player and loading your hard drive into a PC .... It will ask again to format ... Say no

Hi. Yes it can with a good lens .... Will have a problem if needing IR
-
Hi what distance do you need IR to cover Are you looking for a system or one camera only
-
hello everyone.. need help looking very stupid at the job
tomcctv replied to naiefelyemeni's topic in General Digital Discussion
Your first problem is how you have wired up your system Your biggest problem at the moment is how you have connected your baluns ..... Pair for video + and pair for - ..... This need to be changed before anything else .... You should ONLY use 1 pair IE blue for video + blue white - Rest of pairs look at ak post This needs doing to see if you do have problems -

You need baluns at both ends ..... If you don't understand baluns then start another post to talk about them -
Hi I would not go with either ..... Marlin is bad support In the uk your best going with dahua equipment and you will find that it's cheaper

Dahua NVR4416-16P Audio Recording
tomcctv replied to rubsmong's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi for what your application is for I would not use mic built into a ptz .... Remember if your moving the ptz the sound from the motor will drowned out any sounds you wish to record I would run a cat5 direct to a standalone mic and I would also run separate speakers ........ This will also take away problems you might have with playing sound. -
DVR Wont Recognise USB so Cant Back-Up
tomcctv replied to steveej22112's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. On either USB stick ... Put in to a PC open USB drive and add new folder IE CCTV footage and then try in dvr -
The second photo was taken from here - http://topcctvcameras.co.uk/sannce-cctv-review/ It looks like the same (or very similar) system for a similar price, so maybe the image has been incorrectly sourced? First not a uk image in fact none are on that website Then there is the problem of website being new so don't take any notice of reviews Then look at website again .... NO CONTACT INFO QUICK UK company check and they don't exist ..... Big mistake if you buy from them
-
Hi your system from Amazon is analog .... It should have a better image than your photo but not by much Your second photo is not your system so your not going to get images like that
-
Hi if your camera is analog then don't use a coupler with baluns Use the Neutech surgestion

What's the best surveillance solution for a restaurant?
tomcctv replied to BensonD's topic in Security Cameras
Did I say cash is 7fps Why should people PAY for playback ?? Why would they regulate 4 to 8mp ..... Stupid thing to say And it is not a matter of paying more ...... It's buying a system fit for its purpose ........ But again another post taken into nonsense -
What's the best surveillance solution for a restaurant?
tomcctv replied to BensonD's topic in Security Cameras
Security is not about luxuries .... It's about capture in other words fit for purpose. 3mp IP cameras are now low in cost .... We have just had our October price list from dahua and a 3mp camera is £34 (around $53) so your statement on luxury is rubbish. You keep on that op needs 30 fps ..... Are you talking FRAMES fps OR FIELDS fps .......30 fields ps is 15 frames ps ....... Also fields ps and images (ips) are worked out the same But why do you insist on saying IP can't do 30fps as analog IT CAN BUT AS ALREADY STATED ...15fps is good for any application..... 7 to 15 is good and saves HD space So now we have the luxury part sorted out for the op it is still needed to know the ops location ..... In the UK in a bar or restaurant there are regulations on image quality .... Some areas need 7fps some like cash area - entry exit need 12 to 15fps and the image has to be fit for purpose (CLEAR IMAGES) -
