Sounds more like your monitoring setup How are you using the PSS If your monitoring operators are viewing 4 cameras at a time ...... That's a cycle of 125 DVRs ..... Say 5 mins on each screen ..... That's hours before you get back to first lot Have you thought about having DVRs send data to monitoring

The guy in the video has no clue at all....... If that's the best he can do at 17t with analog and 5mp he needs to stop buying crap

Yes using the NVS0404HDC-A which will convert 4 cameras at a time Quick maths 500 div 4 = 125 125 x €270 is over 33k Then you have avigilon licence x 125 units

€33.760 not counting licence is your starting point So on your first post ...... It's more cost effective to change all to avigilon cameras As you have seed SDI IS on its way out fast and you have seen SDI cameras can be had for €17 ($25)

That works out at only €34 ($51) a camera not counting licence

YOU have 500 cameras you want to feed to avigilon

Hi. Your just using the wrong encoder Your talking about 500 cameras ...... That's a lot of money to add encoders too. It's cheaper to swap out for avigilon cameras than change to encoders.

Before you do it's always best to be honest and truthful Your company IS NOT THE ONLY COMPANY AT ALL WHOS TECH IS IT its Dahua If you can't be truthful from the start why or how do you expect customers to trust you SPAM IS BAD

But what I pointed out was that both playback and spot monitoring needs to decompress the encoded bit stream. 16 Ch X 1080P X 30FPS could be tough to handle for both softwares and hardwares-stand alone NVR. You are best not getting confused ..... Your mixing up meanings CIF RECORDINGS ...... I thing you mean viewing stream ..... Don't add the recording (FOOTAGE) this is a separate thing ...... What ever resolution the IP is set for that is your recording. WD1 is not DVD quality it is far from it that's been a sales pitch as soon as D1 budget recorders came out. rati You have posted your true IP on a open forum you need to edit your post and remove it. I have been on and both your dvr and your router is open for your network security I have changed your admin admin password on your link and I have PMed you the new one I hope you don't see this as malicious . but if left as it was your dvr would of been locked out to you and also your router network was at high risk You need to port forward port 5005 to do what you need to do

Hi. Yes it is possible and easy ....... Both NVRs don't have to be on the same network Also a NVR at each location will allow separate monitors .. If one location is broken into then other location has the footage and other way round

Hi. TheOPs idea of using more than one NVR might save him time and money If long cable runs were out of Ethernet range for cameras at other locations

Hi. Could of just been a hard drive problem at first but you have tried to load a firmware that is not compatable with your NVR and in most cases that will make your unit useless. It's either return it or buy a new one ( not from last supplier)

Why do you think IP can't Just because I have not seen yet. Simultaneous Decoding (Playback or spot monitoring) of 16 Ch X 1080Px30FPS is still believed to be a challenge for software-wise (on a very powerful PC) or stand alone NVR. Playback and spot monitoring are two different things. We have 32 cam IP all on one unit ..... Also has 3 outputs ..... All over 3 42inch monitors with no problem even with alarm analytics on 4th alarm 22inch monitor You have to remember there are more NVRs and VMS out there ...... For some reason this forum only talks about hikvision

And if needed you can change to 2mp cameras later
