  1. rati You have posted your true IP on a open forum you need to edit your post and remove it. I have been on and both your dvr and your router is open for your network security I have changed your admin admin password on your link and I have PMed you the new one I hope you don't see this as malicious . but if left as it was your dvr would of been locked out to you and also your router network was at high risk You need to port forward port 5005 to do what you need to do
  2. Hi. Yes it is possible and easy ....... Both NVRs don't have to be on the same network Also a NVR at each location will allow separate monitors .. If one location is broken into then other location has the footage and other way round
  3. Hi. TheOPs idea of using more than one NVR might save him time and money If long cable runs were out of Ethernet range for cameras at other locations
  4. Hi. A £50 car camera will do what you need ..... 2mp with sound and records to a SD card Just place on car window screen

    Hisense HI3520D Firmware?

Hi. Could of just been a hard drive problem at first but you have tried to load a firmware that is not compatable with your NVR and in most cases that will make your unit useless. It's either return it or buy a new one ( not from last supplier)
  6. Why do you think IP can't Just because I have not seen yet. Simultaneous Decoding (Playback or spot monitoring) of 16 Ch X 1080Px30FPS is still believed to be a challenge for software-wise (on a very powerful PC) or stand alone NVR. Playback and spot monitoring are two different things. We have 32 cam IP all on one unit ..... Also has 3 outputs ..... All over 3 42inch monitors with no problem even with alarm analytics on 4th alarm 22inch monitor You have to remember there are more NVRs and VMS out there ...... For some reason this forum only talks about hikvision
  7. Why do you think IP can't
  8. Hi. I would stick with your first option ......picking a no name system you will not get any support
  9. And if needed you can change to 2mp cameras later
  10. Hi. Yes good Dahua system .... Also it's plug and play Apps are free and the remote PSS is also good

    System for Garden center

Hi. You seem to be looking at making equipment cheaper ... Working on price only but you are a business Look at IP systems Look at your CCTV as a employee a set of eyes doing a job .. And if right will safe you money When you look for garden center staff ..... Do you look for good sales from them ..... Good customer skills and reliable or do you just take a lazy person sits about all day You said euro so guess your in Europe ....... Hikvision or Dahua is what sells well

Looking for a very sensitive IP camera

I MAKE SUCH A CAMERA ....... The hik copy more junk from China See your business is only 2 months old. And your website Spam = junk
  14. Hi swchoi89. Boogieman is right IP camera system is best for you and you can start putting together on your budget Only problem is Costco CA is well over priced .... But I did take a look on eBay.ca Look for a seller close to you but look for Dahua NVR there are a few new on there for $280 for 8 way and then look at Dahua 2mp cameras they start from $85 ...... You will only need to buy a reel of cat5 for install This post has got confusing so if you work on getting IP and nothing else the quicker you can find equipment and install

    Newb- Hikvision vs?

Can you post your country As well as hikvision you could also look at Dahua
  16. Hi. With having just bought analog cameras and a network PTZ then you cheapest option is a hybrid recorder And don't buy from your last supplier if he has told you that there D1 is ONVIF then he needs training ....... Or if he sold you on that understanding then send recorder back ........ Was it from the UK distributor ?
  17. Please forget what system seller told you .... GL16 is a DVR according to the spec sheet .... How are you connecting your PTZ to the recorder I'll take a guess on your connection .....PTZ on local network and DVR on same network (router /switch) That is not going to work
  18. Can you list model of your recorder ...... I don't see any hybrids on there website

    Not Recording Footage Q

I would set your recording to manual and see what happends Plus what mix of cameras do you have ..... If 8 channel you can't run AHD ON more than 4 channels ....it turns your recorder into a 4 way
  20. The Amazon link is just cheap crap. DONT get caught by High def they are useless for what you want to do. Your going to be asking the camera to judge the distance of another car or motorbike which your not going to do with mini cameras ..... First your monitor in your car is going to have to be big. One of these fitted to roof of your car will work .... Bosh metal mic and a joy stick for you to control You will have 360 view and will see 1/2 a mile for you.
  21. Hi this will work for you http://www.hikvision.com/europe/download_more.asp?id=1327
  22. Unbranded cable could be your problem ..... 200ft is that with power over coax ? Try local camera power But yes your right over distance the res changes which is its downfall Anyone buying CCTV should design there system to last and that's IP ...... IP cameras will get better and transmission of data is following with the likes of DOCSIS cable
  23. Hi. It's good for 1.400 ft on good coax and yes over cat cable you use standard baluns . But you will have to lower res at 2000 ft
  24. Hi. 1000ft is not a problem with good standard rg59 or rg6 ... Both are good for 1400 .... Then go cat6 will let you go 2000ft on lower res. CVI is licensed out by dahua so yes compatable with the likes of hikvision BUT I would still look at installing IP much better for upgrading and adding to
