NEED HELP WITH CONNECTING IP CAMERA TO HYBRRID DVR 24 Ch
tomcctv replied to akosa007's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. You need to post details of hybrid unit and cameras used -
I love reading bull sh#t Not only dvr or PC ..... But forgive me but do both not have fan extraction IE pull air in. Also warranty is better when installed by supplier. Hi. Not all hik will run on SV drives ..... You could have speed problems using low power or low speed drives ... Check hik drive compatibility list. I would look at WD over seagate . But even with the right drive ... It's heat that will take your drive out 9 times out of 10 Good cooling is the main key all air vents clear and good fans

cant network sannce DVR to iphone!!! driving me mad!!
tomcctv replied to skywalkerdigital's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
ITS A VERY SIMPLE PROBLEM when you use the QR code to setup remote it will only give you the external link and some networks will not let you ping back on your external while on your own network. Instead of using the QR option manual input your IP You will have to set two up 1st your local IP ... 192.168.x.x and call it home under device 2nd your external IP xxx.xx.x.x and call it ex home under devices Use home .... When at home and use ex home when away from your network Did your recorder show network found before you scanned the QR code ? -
How can I see my DVR on my computer (local network)
tomcctv replied to lucamotoc's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Talk about a post getting confused . Lucamotoc. That mod avtech I should think will have no support .. As you have seen from the old links on the other post even avtech have deleted the page. Going local only you have two options and no need to do any router settings as your local only 1st netgear home plugs .... One on dvr and other on your router then call your DVRs IP up 2nd is video sender from bnc output on dvr to your TV scart -
Your not going to get anyone to discuss that with you or even on a public forum. It's no longer a security system
-
Hi. The QR code is only generated after your go through the setup and is connected to your network and then it will display the qr for you to scan Some other units will work with dmss or PSS it's just a matter of changing port numbers ..... But no setup via qr

Yes you are spot on ITS IDMSS IF ON IOS ........ G STANDS FOR GOOGLE ..... AND ITS PORT 3777 for both apps Do you have a link to your new recorder ?

Face Recognition Software for IP cameras
tomcctv replied to koolmer's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I think your customer needs educating. ....... What bad guys ..... Just the ones who live around his store or a nation wide Then you have to think of cost ...... Ok he has a IP camera. Now server to do the work on face match .... It is not instant And the other main problem is ..... Your not going to get any of the agencies or police to hand over face pictures to your customer that is not going to happen. Avigilon software can do what you ask but again it's not instant and each face image is sent to a government server .......this is used all over the world at airports and ports and is not available for public use. Your customer can start his own database of bad guys who have already been in his store and have his system recognised them if re enter -

What would you watch with a perfect surveillance system?
tomcctv replied to taoconno's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi even with analytics you still need human Ok analytics can work on its own on basic systems like gate open on number plate detection but that's already out there . As is analytics for most setups. Your going to find to design something new is going to be expensive as your going to have to buy licence from companies who have copyright protection. Then you will have the main problem of getting a VMS company to use your software .... Lots of platforms to cover. -
