One cat5 at that distance should do power video and data on one cable Blue / blue white = video Green / green white = data Brown / orange = + Brown white / orange white = - But to get your amps replace power supply for a 2amp

    Vivotek Daisy Chain cable issue?

Hi. No you will not have a problem but your cable does have to be copper and a good make. What vivotek and RF are warning you about is the regulations in UK regarding cat cable is by end of year must be BS standard listed cable ...... It's to sort out the junk contractors use .... Not just CCTV installers but any network installation That vivotek system works good .... We used it about 2 months ago
  9. Hi. I was going to say run some footage on the watermark trace but CNM is or was a cheap budget dvr Time being out would not surgest someone has turned off your recorder ....... Time would always be right if switched off and back on ...... Clock has own power CNM were never good at holding the time I would look at changing to a qvis dvr they are cheap enough but good and brings what you have up to date
  10. Hi yes if switch unit off and back on again at 20 mins it will allow you to enter password again

    Metal Cage Question

Hi . Cage over a dome will also take away some of your security .... Something for them to hang cloths or something to blind camera Also most problems are seen by intruder before they start so he also knows to take a spray paint can with them
  12. Hi. You might want to take a look at a dahua PTZ camera 2mp Reason why I say that is you will get good images day or night and also follow around if needed Camera comes with record and viewing and control software If you already have dvr then again a dahua PTZ analog
  13. Hi. That unit is not all that old ..... You will find it will also run on the dahua PSS software and also there smart apps
  14. Hi. To be honest I don't think others would be interested .....your USB port is only a few inches away from your rj45 network on your dvr ....... So a simple home network plug will do the same thing only better
  15. Hi. Yes if you have the latest 2.0.3
  16. 1 post then spam and go ........ Where do you start .??? No contact phone numbers 30 years in business ??. Company records shows 5 months Or .... 30 years in business ...... And only buy and create web page 3 months ago. IP does not belong to country of trading . But forget above SHOULD OF BOUGHT CAT 5 or 6 And install real systems and stop selling analog to customers that should have better

    16Ch Network DMR

Hi. A 10 year old dvr ....... I think you are going to have problems That old you are going to find you need software on PC to view the system and then you might have a problem if not supported And 10 years old your not going to have smartphone or tablet support.
  20. Your first problem is placing cameras behind glass it never works Temp put your camera out side of window at night and see how your image is then. You have not said which dvr and settings you have for recording CIF or D1 Also fps

Newbie Question: HDTVI vs IP Cams?

Why ...... If you do a dedicated CCTV network then it will be just the same as a analog system .... Until connected remotely .... Same as analog would. Out of all formats ..... Nothing will slow your existing network ... And IP is still infront of all formats
