Making my own CAT5e power cable, question...
tomcctv replied to badmop's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Post a picture of your PTZ But I will take a guess it's a Foscam or something along that line 0.5 amp tells me it's cheap but ......... One cat5 at that distance should do power video and data on one cable Blue / blue white = video Green / green white = data Brown / orange = + Brown white / orange white = - But to get your amps replace power supply for a 2amp -
Hi. Dash cams are starting to be a valuable tool . It's best to spend as much as you can on good equipment . You can buy cheap but most need footage to be edited .... Or switch off when not being used ...... And the main thing with cheap is they over heat We sell Marcus units who are the leaders in dash cams and we sell a lot of them

Hi. Good cameras the p400 it is a Sunkwang camera we still use them with our hybrids When you take the star screw off on focus lid you will see on the back of the hatch what each dip switch does Digital zoom ...... Well it is manual set only so no point in setting it there is no controlling it remote from camera .

Hi. I don't understand why your looking for 4 years and in future 10 years ..... There is no point As far as 4k image ...... It's just sales IP cameras have been able to catch plates for years with no problem

Hi. No you will not have a problem but your cable does have to be copper and a good make. What vivotek and RF are warning you about is the regulations in UK regarding cat cable is by end of year must be BS standard listed cable ...... It's to sort out the junk contractors use .... Not just CCTV installers but any network installation That vivotek system works good .... We used it about 2 months ago

tomcctv replied to Maximus123's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. I was going to say run some footage on the watermark trace but CNM is or was a cheap budget dvr Time being out would not surgest someone has turned off your recorder ....... Time would always be right if switched off and back on ...... Clock has own power CNM were never good at holding the time I would look at changing to a qvis dvr they are cheap enough but good and brings what you have up to date -

tomcctv replied to nunsy's topic in Installation Help and Accessories

tomcctv replied to nightswatch's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion

Newbie Question: HDTVI vs IP Cams?
tomcctv replied to t310483317's topic in General Digital Discussion
Why ...... If you do a dedicated CCTV network then it will be just the same as a analog system .... Until connected remotely .... Same as analog would. Out of all formats ..... Nothing will slow your existing network ... And IP is still infront of all formats -
Hi ... You might find a barracuda drive will not work with your system ... Did you install it ?
