Hi no it's not hard ...... This is a forum not tech support ... It's just a matter of time till someone reads your post. No you don't need Internet to have a NVR and IP cameras And adding cameras you would use a switch One other ...... I would not buy from eBay .... Look local first -

Pricing Help for Business Camera System
tomcctv replied to paulf5243's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. It's not just about price . Lots of companies will do research on what they need or talk to each company about equipment being fitted. Your price problem will be ....... Your using plug and play Camera >cable> NVR ..... Because your POE Which is fine for domestic but not commercial you have no fail safe if NVR goes down. 16 cameras down on each NVR. Move away from 3 Poe NVRs and look at a good VMS something like avigilon That will save you money and also give you a stable warranty to offer your customer Moving from NVR Poe to Poe switches give you a healer way of a second back up system. System design gets the orders price is second . Managed Poe switch and power backup for network and cameras is a sales point . VMS is better one camera going down than a camera taking out a 16 camera POE NVR -

Need help identifying this Dvr please
tomcctv replied to ymaroof's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi . If it is working then just use as it is It looks old looking at its gui Don't think if you get an old system and flash with new firmware you will end up with a newer system ..... More likely you will brick dvr. Your image shows your using in a store ? Analog DVRs are cheap .... Buy one that has better internet viewing and has iOS and droid apps available -
Hi. DVR to router then wifi to laptop http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-powerline-500-nano-ethernet-adapter-kit-white/7394184.p?id=1218844155446&skuId=7394184

Looking for a CCTV system upto 64 cameras
tomcctv replied to am632's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hik has no warranty from Amazon 64 cameras with no support ?. Your in the UK forget hikvision ..... Look at dahua ..... First it's not over priced and get more for your money Plus dahua cloud backup or monitoring And as far as DPA .... Yes it's £35 ....... Well it's only £15 but there is more to it than that What type of commercial ...... Is it public space ...... Bar/ club does it sell food or beer Is it high end goods ? Under UK regulations these things have to be answered before a system is designed ...... -
Hi watermark and signature. Are not visible on footage.... Don't get mixed up with OSD. HIK All you do is backup ... Create file ..... Click ok burn to MEM pen ...... It adds player automatically Then you either give pen or burn off pen to a DVD. That is the right way for court Re format and court or there lawyer will just ask for it to be removed ...... Not original
-
Hi. Question is why not just backup direct from recorder ? If this is for court use ....... Altering format and using another software is going to remove its watermark or electronic signature . That makes your footage useless in court

Looking for a CCTV system upto 64 cameras
tomcctv replied to am632's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. I would not go with any system listed above . Until you give a idea of premises your are installing on ... Private or commercial . £4000 ($3600) for a hik NVR would be your first mistake ( available in UK from £900. As stated cat5 is good ..... UK as of this year will have stricked restrictions on all cat cable so you need to buy which will conform to regulations ....... Don't let all that put you off ... It just means don't go buying equipment and cable from the likes of eBay or Amazon Next question is budget ..... As you see from above I have already saved you £3000 on the NVR alone It has already been surgested buy direct from China ??? Not for that amount of cameras ........ You will be spending weeks adding and changing firmware ( and that will be at your Cost) no support and returns will be out of your pocket. Budget and type of install info is needed
