Multiple CCTV Camera on single Ethernet Cable
tomcctv replied to harejonathan's topic in System Design
Hi. It's a pre school First see any regulations for your area you can't just install. Forget using baluns and analog.... It sounds like you have a local network already in place. You need to go IP camera system ..... You will end up with a much better system and a system fit for use in a pre school. Where are you located ?? Look up regulations and low voltage for your area -
Hi I would look at two dahua 2mp cameras that will be in your budget As far as wireless .... You need to get power to the cameras so use 2 netgear power plugs to run the data over your mains outlets

Upgrade is best but if a switch box will do what you need then I would look for a picture in picture box that way you can have two images in one window but if detect motion that camera will go full screen.

Dahua - Newer Eng firmware will not run but new Chinese ok
tomcctv replied to cctv_007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Your a reseller am distribution and have long term relationship with dahua ( even before there name change) Doing a regional change via firmware is not a problem from dahua ftp site As far as buying from China 50% well if you look at ebay usa import from China or allied then even you must be noticing they are now more expensive $120 from China $86 from supplier (not trade) -
Dahua - Newer Eng firmware will not run but new Chinese ok
tomcctv replied to cctv_007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Dear uset, firmware is for dahua cameras which are selled in china. Its original dahua. So i see no problems here. No China camera on ebay allied are copy .... WHY DO you think dahua or hik SAY can't help you ...... Why should they get blamed for no support for a camera that never touched there factory .. Both offer reginal support .... If camera is not a copy -
Dahua - Newer Eng firmware will not run but new Chinese ok
tomcctv replied to cctv_007's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. I think these firmware posts are going to far . Once it's been stated its to help Chinese copy real software . Then it become software theft. Everyone in the security industry install to protect customers home or businesses from theft or protect against. Both hikvision and dahua work hard to try and stop there software getting back into china copy. Asking people to send firmware from real cameras to open it up for others to use is a big copyright problem and is also theft. This forum has become in the last few weeks a porthole to help allied new egg ebay sellers to continue selling copy cameras Copyright theft is not a good way to go for the forum ... And not good for hikvision or dahua distributors or OEM companies Chimes copies are taking there business away ..... And also making the names of dahua or hikvision not a reliable security system to use in high end installs .... With all back door openings to there software being posted to everyone -
Even better if you have the bt500 .. That's what I use They or any other don't need any settings to connect to any router But the bt500 can also be used independant to your router and what I do find is with infinity and using a 500 it holds your wan IP address so no need for a DNS service

Hi. They were expensive cameras 50 x zoom and over 100m IR and reliable cameras. You can just replace the camera so that might be a option. But first can you list type of power supply your using Also and this was people's main problem ......how it is wired the POWER COLOURS ARE NOT RED AND BLACK. red is + and orange is - Camera will not start if that is not right ...... Also it is the same camera they use in there PTZ so it has a home set and takes time to start up

CCTV Tester for weird problem
tomcctv replied to ggiannopoulos's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
First thing you need to find out is voltage of cameras there is no point guessing. All cameras going down at same time could be something as simple as bad power supply or a problem with main feed to power supply When it does happen how are you able to get all images back on ? -
CCTV Tester for weird problem
tomcctv replied to ggiannopoulos's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Just a normal multi tester to chech voltage and cable at dvr end while cameras are powered up But again how many are 220v and how many are 12v Also does it say video loss when all analog cameras are out
