Sorry that's just more expensive junk Looking for cameras from China ..... You also need to question there spec. And if you think getting money back is easy it's not. I can guarantee that the demo pictures are not from that camera. I might be wrong so worth checking with buellwinkle It's listed as one of his demos ALSO I think we'll I know clouds move and change ......... So even that day and evening image is crap Buying cheap comes with the saying buy twice. It does save money looking at specs doing more homework both cameras listed above are bad spec cameras

Hi. Application does not justified a 500 dollar or 1000 dollar PTZ. But your going to waste $200 First the camera listed is not a PTZ .... It has no zoom lens And ignore there cloud service ...... Why have someone else watch your camera.

tomcctv replied to brian89gp's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hmm, this rg45 end looks like HIK Hi . AK. Yes the twist waterproof .... Been getting them on both dahua and hik the last few months -
If this is something you are being sold ..... Then don't buy That is an old card ..we used to fit them 5 years ago . If you do start to use .... First you need a standard monitor not wide screen Second you will need to set card for its lowest ..... Which is CIF That card will do D1 but at 32 will only do 3.5 fps And for a card that is still being sold between $500 to $800 it is just not worth it

Can old CAT5 cables handle IP Cameras POE?
tomcctv replied to jmjudy2's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. 9 times out of 10 cat5 or 6 testing a fault is found at rj45 plug. Even if you take your time it could even be a bad crimp set or very bad rj45 plugs Apart from having cable testers these are ideal to carry in tool box for cable testing. It rules out the rj45 plug on testing. -
Need advice on quick interim fix for older system
tomcctv replied to watchtower's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Or just a hybrid will do .... The avermedia supports most cameras on the market Don't know why 900 feet is a problem It's not even going to be a problem with IP soon ..daisy chain POE + network is out now. -
5.2.5 Chinese to English on ds-2cd2xxx cameras
tomcctv replied to buellwinkle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
As a camera critic ....... Are you not best pointing out these problems What is the point saving $20. For a camera in the wrong region For a camera with no warranty And what happends to the electronic signature ?? For an extra $20 why not get 2 or 3 years warranty. Get a camera that has no regional problems and has a regional signature. -

tomcctv replied to Reshesnik's topic in Security Cameras
I'm going to use a PC running Xprotect. I've got it running with fast storage (SSD-backed 10TB ZFS array). I'm using a Netgear ProSafe 8 port POE switch. Boogie an is 100% right complete junk. Also it does not matter what your going to run them on ....... Like already asked ...... Are they compatable Also says nothing about screen language Plus see the amount of IR on the camera ...... Not good for internal -
Need help with multiple PC DVR's freezing/not re-writing
tomcctv replied to Turais's topic in System Design
Hi .. You don't have a graphics card listed But your problem I think is the amount of partitions. What is a simple setup has become more than what is needed I would run as standard ...... OS on drive as you have and then use 3 x 2tb harddrives Also you don't say how many units there are but as well as the problems you already have you need to think of upgrading. The system at the moment is just less than D1 at 4 to 5 fps I would look at starting to change to hybrid standalone from hikvision. Cost wise you are not that far apart repair pc or change Your quality will go up on recordings plus with going hybrid you can swap out old analog for Ip cameras when ever they go down -

Need help with 6mm versus 12mm

Hi it's not a camera you would want to use IR with. If your garage door button inside has a light built in (find light) that will be enough for your axis -

Canon plans to purchase Axis
tomcctv replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
its not a different approach...... its a secure approach. which years ago all manufacturers did. take last month here on the forum ,,,,, someone posted a full months worth or dvr / NVR engineers codes for a full 30 days. so using hikvision in high commercial installs cant be sold as a security system .... its not secure. some installers will only install by what system they know or by price. but you still see cheap china units in commercial or high risk areas. the industry years ago was lead by insurance companies .... as in this system or that system could only be used if the owner wanted insurance. $500 system with passwords all over google is not the system to protect a bank or jewellers store. -
Hi which DM do you have

Canon plans to purchase Axis
tomcctv replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It's not just about support . You only have to look back over 2 months on this forum .... It's not doing hikvision much good 80% of problems are support ...... Can't connect ...... Wrong region ........ No support . Hikvisions new none or don't buy from list for this month has two companies from this site added to it Wrightwood is alway talked on here about suppliers. It's not. We are seeing more and more. Installers of hikvision not going back to there customers ...... Because either they did it cheap from China or replacment camera would be there cost because they bought cheap and can't return. ...... It's not worth saving $20 a camera. Is it cost ........ Every other post is hikvision (yes they are good cameras) but only if bought from the right place. Then you have the likes of axis ..avigilon... Avermedia....CNB ..... When was the last post of one having problems. Thewireguy is right ........ There are going to be some big changes ...not only with axis but blue iris is also going with big face lift. Avigilon will have the biggest say within two years when it's a commercial grade being sold by other companies
