Can see your doing a lot of firmware add ons Would it not be much better if anyone wanted these add ons to just buy a DVR WITH IT ALREADY ON AS STANDARD 1. people won't loose there warranty 2. People don't have to pay you

Hi. 2 things stand out from your post MADE IN USA. other is 960h recorder yet only using 700tvl cameras. At least change your most needed cameras to 960h Also cable ..... Did you buy the cheap kits

Hi. Most cameras (I would give Foscam a miss) have alarm detection and set and unset. If you wanted to make it easy and not break the bank you could use a cam with alarm and use door contacter or shock sensor on all doors windows on and around your home even gates.

Sorry signs are bad on domestic homes We have a lot of cameras up around London . Just put your cameras up and don't say anything to houses around you ..... If they think they have a problem let them come talk to you

Hi your cameras are not under any public regulations unless you are a shop or bar Places like london you will get encroaching and most do Peoples mistake is putting up cctv and placing signs on domestic homes

Hi . Your system is not covered by RIPA it is a short term licence for temp. Does not matter which part of London you are in (or rest of UK) Seeing your post I see you understand about next doors private space so you will have no problem at all

Hi. Watermark or electronic signature will not allow you to open on another dvr But HD in your pc and you see the files should not be a problem Either on a disk that came with your dvr or from makers website you should find video player ..... Use that on your pc to open file names

Hi. Yes your problem could be ONVIF Not all cameras play well on some recorders ONVIF has different versions so some camera data might not work. You could have a camera with motion and even audio but will only show images ...... Motion or audio won't work You then have cameras using ONVIF not allowing you to use cameras ful res. You hear a lot ..... Buy same make NVR and cameras ..... You find this on budget systems which is not a bad thing but as better cameras come out you just can't use them. Go for a NVR with good ONVIF compatable lists and the ONVIF gets updated as well

Assuming he is telling the thruth in that other topic, he has a dvr. Since you cannot do something useful on a pc without a hdd, well booting in the bios perhaps or from a removable drive. Best not mixing posts ....... Your link is 10 days ago and since then has installed one. Still the fact is ..... Is he using standalone or pc Creating a file on HD (in form of a partition) is not a problem Snap shots Anpr logs Face time Can all be stored that way it stops that data being overwritten Still need to find out if PC based or capture device on pc or standalone
