Noise only when more than one camera is connected
tomcctv replied to generatorlabs's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I can understand why a DIYer would think that. can have 10 or 12 even 13v at camera but it still needs amps ........you can under amp a camera you cant over amp it and if you look at ops power spec 1.2amp each. at power supply ....... sorry but op is not going to get 1.2 amp at end of 300ft and adding anti hum on cat6 with baluns ........... that has to be a joke ???? it must be. generatorlabs. it is best buying good quality baluns lots on ebay stating are baluns but are not also cat6 is always best away from other power cables ..... never run across other cables. 0.275ma is low for a camera with ir can you list spec of cameras -

Hi. You will need to list your power supply spec Also camera spec also type of balun Amps is going to be your problem over nearly 100m -
Hi. With a small run of 50ft you should not have a problem.
-
Hi. Have you bought the system ??? First the cable kits you get with box kits are not worth using from the start I would use cat5 with baluns Other is the cheap power supply

Why is it every post is 123 cctv. For a bar area first it's light conditions ....... Is no good just saying oh dahua will do. Also first thing is the legal and practical of having your images open to the public. It's sounds like a good idea having live feed ..... It could also be a way of turning customers away from the bar. I would go for 30 mins or 1 hour snap shots . And with Dropbox it is very simple ...... And most recorders or IP cameras can be easy to set.

Alarm Output that can ring your cellphone
tomcctv replied to aurmol's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Connect push button to alarm input on recorder then have that alarm send sms or call when pressed -
Take the front off ....... Either tamper alarm will go off or you will see a cam inside. But it does seem to be a normal pir sensor Even when system is not set the sensor and detection light still works which is normal No red light no motion .... Red light on is motion detected And looking at your pictures there looks like no hole (pin hole) for a camera

Hi. I would use solar power to charge 12v battery and feed your camera from that. Also with you using box style I would use a heater and external IR Just using solar will stop you using at night

What size monitor for 8 camera 1080p system?
tomcctv replied to mcman56's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Even having a 4k output on a NVR or pc still would not help Image has to be from source. ........ The camera and that needs to be 2160p 4k on cctv is years away and costs will be big storage for one. Network also would be a problem would have to be a mix of fiber 2-3 or 5mp I don't understand why people say it will be outdated for cctv -
What size monitor for 8 camera 1080p system?
tomcctv replied to mcman56's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
4k ONLY RESIZES ITS INPUTED IMAGE 1080p is sent from sorce to display (4k tv) Don't think 4 camera images are split as its sent to tv..... Because that does not happen. Unles you have 4 HDMI inputs and a multiplexer built into tv to re display as 4 camera display. Regardless of how many images sent ,....... 1-4-8- there only being sent to tv via HDMI at 1080p and as a whole image then resized to 4k But costs ..........4k for monitoring cctv is just a waste and not needed -

tomcctv replied to mcman56's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Sorry but am confused about view only 4 cameras on a 4k tv At end of day it's not needed to go with 4k ..........cctv is to collect everdance and if needed to give to local police or to be used in courts I just can't see anyone giving footage to police or courts ..........and saying you can borrow my 4k tv as well to view footage. -
