Recommendation for IP Cameras/NVR
tomcctv replied to bsa's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Foscam have always had problems ......... First it's the most copied camera out of China ..... Which you get not support Foscam ...... Will only offer support if bought from a distributor which has a serial number 1000s of junk foscams on ebay with no support. Op has a $400 budget .........and Foscam is a way to waste it Dahua in the US is now stupid money because so many people sell it UK 2mp dahua camera is £38 ..... $60. NVR £60 -
Recommendation for IP Cameras/NVR
tomcctv replied to bsa's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Very easy to do with a dahua ......... Only problem is resellers in the US and charging to much With avermedia it's also possible with your budget But don't waste your money on cheap Foscam Also remember with a small budget ....build it up slow buy a camera at a time ....... Get a standalone NVR that will take many makes of IP cameras and add when you can -
Hi. No need to connect the White and pink ...... You can do camera settings via cameras onboard joystick.

tomcctv replied to Avi1975's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions

Hi you have to show each camera a new qr code .... Can't use on another if used once Did you buy from maplin ??? If so just return it ....... Don't even start to think any footage your going to need .... Is going to be easy to get off there cloud IF there at all
-
Hi . With 150 is more than just picking a system What sort or area are you protecting ??? You will be having cameras doing different tasks .... Fix and vf lens And 1000 feet or meters ..... Yes you might think analog would be a cheaper install ...... But build a good network for IP can save in time and money and not use as much cable as you would standard analog. Also distance ..... Why run cables to each building ??? Your going to be using multi units for storage .... Look at a system with a good cms to bring all footage to 1 location rarther than all recorders

Surveillance software that can launch a program on motion
tomcctv replied to ShadowHunter's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi. What are you asking the system to do ? -
Hi. If your at that stage with your home then cat6 with coax to camera locations and just run cat6 to locations you might need sensors or lights in the future Good to run cat6 to every room while at the stage you are at ..... Create your own network all back to a central point ...... Even if you don't use it at least your home is ready for the future Network lights and switches Network fridge and freezers Networks door openers Spend a few $100 now is better than 1000s later

Dahua NVR don't seen in the screen
tomcctv replied to Avi1975's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi can you give details of monitor ? Or do you have another you can use same with cables -
Does not sound like you have done a good upgrade for your customer ..... Why sell units you don't understand yourself. Since your an installer H264 could mean 1 off 1000s of DVRs on the market You will have to post a screen shot of dvr to even get a start to the player you need.
-
Hi everything sent to your pm This is the new firmware. Extract from your PC to memory pen .... Insert pen into dvr then start dvr up At the end you will be asked to insert cd key ..... Use the serial number on back of your unit instead
-

Dahua Are messing everything up at the moment Going back to there old ways like they did 8 years ago. Last few days all apps are being updated If you paid for there app ........ That goes when updated and replaced by IDMSS which is free The new updated IDMSS ....... Slow and image quality is poor Now has P2P which is un secure ........this now makes dahua not a pro commercial system
-
Hi. Can you list your male and model of your dvr Also picture or a screen shot

Is the public viewing your "private" cameras right now?
tomcctv replied to Kawboy12R's topic in General Digital Discussion
Why turn it personal Kawboy ? Click on profile been on a few years .... And I think over 5000 post even you can work out I can type english. I'll. Try to explain a little better for you and leave more info on insecam so you can check it out your self. There are many IP trackers on the net ..... Don't use a free service buy a good one. Then check IP 88.212.208.213 It's server is based in Russia... Then do a port sniff ....... I will explain there port later. Like you have seen on Google all the information about insecam and it's the likes of avtech hik and other LINUX systems. And also as you would of read about insecam they use an Algerithum to look for factory settings I.e passwords ports that installers do not bother to change. Now go back and look into the insecam IP. First it is looking for DDNS or no-IP accounts. ( your link is helping because you have posted it on a cctv forum ) otherwise they would have to scan millions of IPs I think you know how telnet works ?? Well the port sniff that IP has is port 22 and its SSH. (Bit like telnet) Your not going to stop it on your router or see it on your pc as it is open at DDNS or no-IP account. (It's open) So. Click on insecam web that scans DDNS accounts Algerithum goes to work looking for your DVR (direct) it's not an attack on your network it's just using your IP because you click on its website and it connects to Dvr ( and only successful if dvr is left in factory) It is now worth checking for people to check the login details on there dvr ....... See if a IP has loged on that you don't recognise But yes it is good to make it clear DONT LEAVE DVR in factory settings
