Wiring up analog cameras to cat5e
tomcctv replied to quest2chill's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Only 1 pair should be used for video baluns -
Hi . If your going to join cat5 I would look at jelly been. Adding extra RJ45 ends then a coupler could be a problem spot ... Giving your cable extra resistance. Keep cable twist as much as can and use jelly crimps.

Hi. Your problem is your budged £100 ($160) For just under £200 use 2mp camera home plug at each end of power going to gate and then use a cheap android tablet £40 Even open and close gate from tablet Quick simple solution
-
If op is thinking of upgrading ....... He might be looking at HD-SDI SO best option is a good RG59 coax and cat5 to run power .... That then gives full options HD-SDI can't run on anything other than a good quality Rg59. Just forget rg6

tomcctv replied to battouter's topic in General Digital Discussion
very difficult to run a 220V line as it is an outdoor cam. any professionals in the field can confirm the voltage drop at 50m is that significant that is harmful to the cctv camera? Hi. 50m is not a problem for 12v ....... Does that no problem It's the amps that plays the part ........ 12v 2amp is not a problem for your half amp cameras ........ You can run two cameras that distance with no problems -

Avermedia Averdigi NV6480 Express - DVI to BNC?
tomcctv replied to torisdale's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Your system is a hybrid analog or IP. Under system settings click on camera and in middle of screen you will see analog IP or DVR ....... Click on each camera at top of screen and check analog is picked .... Also then BNC leads this will give you problems if not in the right connector on your card. You should have two leads and one will have a yellow phone out ...(this is only on 1 lead ) and should only be in the top connector on card. -
