Hi. Being on secondary socket is not going to help at all. Internet must only be on the master socket . You can use existing cable to extend line in (two wires) to feed the bt box closest to router ........ Also swap socket fronts. And then use 3 wires back to we're main s****et was All should take 10 mins and does need to be done if not it will have slow Internet and drop out when phone rings

Service / Maintenance contracts complicated bid
tomcctv replied to wowsupport's topic in General Digital Discussion
Sorry but that just sounds a fast way to loose money and work for nothing. Split over 10 years for a service contract that may only stand for 12months and go out to tender again. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Lots more information is needed Is this a install you did or worked on before who has control over network at each location (are they locked or pass worded ) If like 10 or more cameras are old analog cost in replace not repair Put that in cost over 12 months other work as standard call out charge This will then give you a good platform to bid on its second year service contract -

DDNS options for router dont show in DVR DDNS options
tomcctv replied to advancedsecurity's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Lots of DVRs or NVRs don't have a DDNS service in there network setup It's not the recorder you are directing to the DDNS service but your external ip It's your portforward that directs your external to the recorder -
Hi. Nothing you can do unless you go buy a PTZ CAMERA. PTZ menu is part of the GUI ( screen menu) and will only work with a PTZ Normal cameras you have no control over
-
Hi sounds like a box kit from Cnm and the cameras in the kit are not PTZ cameras
-
All ports are directed to port 80 You should never portforward 80. OP I SEE YOUR CAMERAS ONLINE remove or edit your posts to remove IP address Id trigger port should be name of device I.e dvr not your port and we're you have 80 change to 37777 then reboot You only need port 37777 open

Hi. Yes it's possible Manchester area you will find most of the systems are avigilon. Along with most of city cams But if you are not connected to the city monitoring then you will just have face finder or face recall. -
yoseph6375 With having cameras already with your budget you could add rather than change. You may have a poor quality dvr from ADT as in poor quality CIF. your budgerigar would get you a good hybrid .....which means you can use standard cameras ( you already have) and ip 1080 cameras. With your budget hybrid your existing cameras and 2 or 3 ip

Soldering a Cat 5e cable or not
tomcctv replied to smcctv's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Think problem here is just op has used either cheap cat5 or 24 instead of 18. But even if solder it's week point is going to be just before the solder so same problem. -

what in your opinion constitutes misues of CCTV
tomcctv replied to Numb-nuts's topic in General Digital Discussion
Don't see we're a jury comes into it Before it gets to court it is first desided if any wrong doing has taken place which is when cctv (information collection) shows it has. So long as shop or office has all the licence to collect information from its cctv
