RG-59 Siamese Quality Issues
tomcctv replied to glasssplinter's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. Cat5 will always be cheaper ......... Use single baluns and save on BNCs As far as power unit for your garage ...... It is always best to have more than one power unit ....... If a camera takes out your power unit all cameras are gone so garage to have its own is a good option. Pulling cat5 is also future options on systems -
Hi. I would use domes that will solve any cameras being hit and moved. Signs on a domestic home are not needed and in most cases will give you more problems. Lights with sensors would also help in your garden area I would do a little more homework before looking at the likes of maplins Ip cameras are now in your price range and will give you a far better image than analog

Hi try install yourself lots of help here . Yes to a point analog is plug and play and has been for 50 60 years Numb ---- don't know if you looked at his photos It's just over 6ft ....... Broken this broken that so don't think that can happen. Also . I can see point of cable entry from photos so it would only take a few minutes to get cables anywhere along that route. At the end of the day the forum is here to help ...... It does not take work away from installers ........ But the forum is more than just about dahua and hikvision of late. Nothing wrong with a DIYer to have a go ....... And lots of help on here . Just take a look at your very first post ....... You learned from forums

How do I stop the IR flash off the wall?
tomcctv replied to unclerandy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Its a narrow walk way. I have the cameras high enough so they cant be easily reached and one in each direction. If I were to turn them outward away from the wall it would just film the neighbors side yard and not my own. In which case also rotate the camera 90 degrees to give you a narrower field of view, then you can use the software to rotate the image back. Rotate the cameras and all your going to get is same image rotated -

Closing our monitoring centre and hiring an offshore company
tomcctv replied to r0bb0's topic in General Digital Discussion
If only 3 staff and your costs are high can mean a few things .... You have a very small customer base Outsourcing to a 3rd party in another country is not going to help ..... First the laws about monitoring in your own country Vs laws in another Last thing your company needs is your customers footage ending up on YouTube It sounds like you are best turning you local competitors into a partner .... Close down your costs and licence your customers out -
Hi. Best removing camera and put it in place we're you know a camera is working. Could be a few things if had this problem from start Bad fitted BNC or underpowered power supply
