Hi. That is a 2012 dvr and only D1 recording and is no longer supported meaning pc software gone and apps out of date. Last update from zmodo is 2019 onwards i would start with using the existing cameras on a new dvr which is backward compatible with old cameras and replace them overtime with new HD cameras

hi then this will give you other problems using pc will need a local network setup and always best to use software that comes with a wireless system wireless cameras::: 90% of wireless cameras on setup need to be registered before they even work and most need to be connected to the internet especially the cheap ones if you forget about using a pc and use a nvr you will find it cheaper…… take a look at the lorex wireless nvr system you can mix wireless and wired plus they have a kit called fusion for wireless extension helps with camera distance …. Because that’s also going to be a problem with the distance on some of your locations in your picture the lorex can work with no network involvement…. Going pc option your going to spend a lot more on setting up a local LAN with having to buy a few bridging units something like nano keeping the peace after 45 years won’t last long if you waste a lot on money and something that only lasts a few years

Ok what is your budget

Hi nice layout you have posted …. You might of been over thinking with your install instead of cameras with SD cards I would go for a nvr …… SD card could of over written by the time you get to them ……. Also useless if you go away for holiday or weekend most of your camera placement is on centre building ….. so cat5 wire should not be a problem so that’s 5 cameras done quick 5 cameras to nvr can you get another cat5 to the top building in your picture as you already have trunking being used ….. if not use your existing network cable with a network switch the two down by the dock (river) burial cat5 would also do ….. no trench just pick axes a little drench lay cable brush soil back over so 8 way camera system with viewing from central area …. No need for network also gives you weeks of footage storage

Hi. Then the answer is no …. Recording children in the uk at schools or nursery/ day care. It means nothing putting up signs but your problem is two fold storing images/video on a unlicensed control room ….. I call it unlicensed as you have not given any SIA information…. Which you need to have in the uk …. You can’t store public without it also all staff and control room operators need by law a DBS check (certification) if you have none of the above in place then it can be very costly I am also uk based and seen this problem before……. North of you a childcare business had cctv fitted to watch children….. they also stored the footage. This was done without parents permission…… it ended bad with lawsuit from all 23 parents

Hi yes it will lock them out ….. if someone is watching on DMSS at time of changing password then they will be logged out when they next log on …… best thing to do is change dvr password then switch off dvr and back on again will switch anyone viewing

Hi you have not explained which part of the world you are in

Hi. 1.6TB will what shows on your screen …. It will be a 2tb which is max for that nvr 4 way so am confused about the 6 years 6 years can’t be held on a 2tb hard drive at h264 10 days is about right for 2tb on standard HD. even with motion set to lowest and smart record setting used still only gives max 16 days

Ok which country are you in ? and which mobile internet companies operate in your area

Hi. When you say pc-nvr do you mean pc server calling dahua iP cameras ?
-
Hi yes your right a simple question ….. how ever……. There is still a massive scope face recognition vs face detection is this a public space or private ….. and you will be making a mistake if you go hikvision …. There is already a white paper on hik a personal information collecting which could see it being banned soon licence plate detection .vs plate recognition with HD now standard most systems will capture licence plates …… this format needs you to have known licence plates already in the nvr database this is also the case with face detection anpr and face recognition……. This is mostly used in conjunction a licence fee for access to either driving licence / ID / passport database ….. which is out of scope for most installers and users so yes your question is simple yet 3 times asked what type of area is the system used in will help you in the right direction also what part of the world your in also helps

Hi ….. it might seem to you that we are asking too many questions but there is a good reason now your link above for the pro vue system trade price around $120 (one hundred and twenty) infact it is a rebadged xmeye system ….. your topic starts off best 4K system …. Then you list the cheapest nastiest nvr out there also your dahua link …. $2.500 is a bit much for just nvr ……. This is the problem with going with unauthorised sellers what will this system protect ?

Hi with camera distance only being 450 can you not use wired iP cameras and have nvr on a local network
-
Hi can you give distance between cameras also do you have cell / mobile reception in the area how many cameras and your budget
-
Then I would look at the TVT Ai range next above that is a pc avigilon system ….. but not with your budget TVT 16 or 32 Ai range will do more than you need but I am going to give you some advice forget external Poe outdoors….. your distance is small 150ft 300ft is around max for Poe ….. plus it will save you a lot of money if you just install a managed Poe switch with the nvr
-
Hi looking for the right nvr does need good planning and designing 1 cat6 with 6ptz is already a fail point …. If problem with cat6 from nvr to first switch the whole system is down what is it your protecting … home / business/ public space ? it this a application you would be better with 2 nvr giving you a total of 32 and calling both nvrs back to central point
-
Hi you say only 1 cat6 for data back to nvr also think of protection and bandwidth mate you using a Poe switch at each location ……. Also check if your Poe can run a ptz

Add a fifth camera to an Anran 5MP NVR System
tomcctv replied to HeyYou's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Ok so the test I asked you to do shows you have a wireless system not a Wi-Fi (local network system) or you only have a 4way recorder…….. on one of your existing B04 cameras remove the battery so as it’s off switch all the unit off including your router …… power up your new camera ….. switch on the monitor …… leave router off …… and see if it finds that camera -

Add a fifth camera to an Anran 5MP NVR System
tomcctv replied to HeyYou's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. It’s times like this I wished people would do homework before they bought a system your original system is a battery operated 3mp cam system Wi-Fi to monitor base station…… going 5mp makes it not compatible your system ranges from $20 a camera to $900 for 8 cam system but basically it’s just a battery operated toy that will only last 2 years max I would not spend any more money on -
Hi yes you will need to change a lot of components including IR filter also sensor for the price of IR cameras you will find it cheaper than messing taking existing cameras apart or even buying components that might not fit
